The work I had completed was a lockset size change with an install of a single lock. The job took one hour to complete. Over the phone, I was quoted $90 install ($29 visit, 81 install), and canceled a scheduled appointment I previously had due to this better price and availability. After the install, the Tech asked for $204. This was not discussed until my card had already been charged without being told the amount. After refusing to sign for the amount, he worked with his management to refund the amount to what Home Advisor charges for the same service, $120. My recommendation to potential customers in the future, make sure you ask your locksmith once they arrive to confirm the price that you have been offered in advance of the work being completed."
