Precision Painting From Start To Finish When you hire Precision Pros, you hire a company that believes in the old ways of doing business. My customers come first, Precision Pros comes second. My company is very easy to work with, and you get every dollars worth. I believe honesty is the best policy, both from my end and the customers as well. I treat every contract as if I were doing work on my very own home. During the prep stage, I take my time picking ever detail apart. It is the most important part of what I do, and the reason why I have not received one call back for poor workmanship. Many contractors in this day and age enter into a contract with one thing in mind, “the quicker I get it done, the quicker I move on to the next one.” The reason for this of course is the almighty dollar. Back in 2008 / 2009 I had an opportunity presented to me by a big name home improvement store. This opportunity would have launched my business to a much higher level financially. It also would have sent me to Georgia for schooling to learn how to cut corners. I turned that down very quickly after researching what it was all about. I do not cut corners, not on my personal projects, and certainly not on your project. With all that said, if you are looking for a contractor who can come in and get it done fast, you have chosen the wrong company for the job at hand. I look forward to doing business with you. Painting Contractor. No employees at this time but that could change. Sub-contracting could be an option. All jobs are on a contract. I do commercial and residential. I restore old houses and am a Certified Renovator. I have a 50' manlift and it's very productive. Nobody has ever complained about the quality of my work. I have a lot of skill and a lot of experience.

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts

Mixing fabric softener into water is a low-cost way to remove wallpaper that has been passed among DIYers for years, but it has limited success. It works on some wallpaper, but not likely on vintage styles. Also, be careful, as it could interfere with the new wallpaper’s grip power.

The easiest way to remove wallpaper is to use a steamer. The hot steam will loosen the wallpaper paste and make peeling the wallpaper off in large sheets much easier. Unfortunately, steamers can create irreparable damage on your walls, so it’s not a good idea for DIYers to use steamers to remove wallpaper. Instead, hire a professional wallpaper remover to do the work for you. This method will not only speed up the process, but it will also ensure your walls will remain intact post-wallpapering.

You can paint over wallpaper if it’s smooth and in good shape. But if there are bumps or tears in the wallpaper, they’ll likely show through the paint. Similarly, you should avoid painting over textured wallpaper because the ridges and patterns in the paper will be visible. In either of these situations, you should remove the wallpaper before painting.

The pros of wallpaper include its durability and longer lifespan than paint, as well as its versatility. The durability can translate to lower long-term costs for upkeep and replacement, and the versatility means you have more options for customizing rooms in your home. Some downsides include that it’s difficult to remove, it’s not ideal for rooms or areas exposed to high moisture content or sun exposure, and it’s tricky to install. A professional wallpaper hanger can help mitigate these issues, though, by installing it properly and in areas suitable for wallpaper.

Wallpaper steamers can be very helpful for removing large sections of wallpaper more easily, but they’re not always a good idea for DIYers. The drywall behind your wallpaper is meant to stay dry, and excessive moisture from improper technique with a wallpaper steamer can leave you with severe wall damage. Drywall also retains moisture, which could result in mold growth over time. It’s best to hire a professional to remove your wallpaper with a steamer to avoid wall damage and related moisture issues.
