"Tree Care Service was great to work with and the work quality was excellent. I plan on getting more tree work done by this company and I highly recommend them to other homeowners. The pricing was fair and the owner has been great to work with."

"This company was amazing. They are experienced and know what they are doing when taking down large trees. Elder is who I spoke to for my tree removal. He was very nice and always available to talk if I have any questions. He also gave me an amazing price to remove eight trees and a couple of bushes. Everyone was friendly and worked in a safe and timely manner. I definitely would call them again if I need any other work done"

Small jobs welcome

"Valley Tree Care showed exceptional customer service and did an amazing job. Jonathan took time during his assessment to get to know what I was after for the job and explain his assessment of the situation so we could come up with a plan that best fit the needs of my tree and the situation. He was great about communicating with me throughout the process. His estimate was the best value for what I wanted to accomplish and they did the job well in all ways from being considerate of us and our neighbors to cleaning up well. I would highly recommend Jonathan at Valley Tree Care."

"Their team was very hard working, considerate and respectful of our property and our neighbors. I can't say enough for their work ethics. They cleaned up all the 3 adjoining properties after cutting down 6 tall pine trees. They were well worth what they charged us. We are so thankful no one got hurt ?"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

A tree growing close to a house can pose several risks, but removal isn't always the only or best solution. Potential problems include roots growing into the foundation and causing structural cracks, branches damaging the roof or promoting moss growth, and debris clogging gutters, which can lead to water damage. Trees can also provide access for pests and encourage mold. However, a small, healthy tree may not be a problem, and for larger, established trees, strategic trimming can be a cheaper and more beneficial alternative to removal. It is generally recommended to take action for trees within 10 to 20 feet of your home, especially if they are unhealthy or encroaching. Your best bet is to consult a professional arborist who can assess the specific situation and provide expert advice.

The best time to transplant a tree is when it is dormant. For many trees, this means either in the fall after the leaves have dropped (around October or November) or in early spring before new growth begins (around March). The ideal timing can depend on the type of tree. Deciduous trees do well when moved in early spring or fall, while evergreens are best transplanted in early spring or late summer. For example, pine trees are best moved in early fall, but maples prefer late fall. Avoid transplanting in winter, as the frozen or hard, cold soil poses a significant risk to the roots and prevents the tree from acclimating properly.

Yes, pruning makes trees stronger because it fosters proper growth, weight distribution, and balance of the crown. By increasing the structural integrity of the tree through pruning, it’s less likely to experience disease, pests, broken limbs, and storm damage. Pruning the right branches and limbs is key to improving a tree’s strength and balance.

You should plant trees at least 15 to 20 feet away from your house, and more if the tree will grow large and spread its limbs. Trees pose several dangers to houses when planted too close. They can litter the roof with leaves and branches, create fire hazards, make a ladder for larger pests, and even damage the foundation as their roots grow.

Trees don’t usually grow back after being cut down. Some particularly robust tree species may start sending up new stems from a stump to recover, but those stems won’t become a “tree” like before. Generally, trees don’t recover from being entirely cut down, which is why it’s important to be careful when making a decision. When you cut down a tree, it’s a good idea to make plans to remove the stump, even if it’s unlikely to grow back.
