At the end of everyday the team would walk through with us to show us the progress and see our thoughts on the quality. "Alfredo and his team (Jose, then Pablo) did an excellent job in fixing many cracks in two bedrooms-turned-home offices, then sanding and painting the walls, ceilings, trim, and closets. They also patched a hole in the basement ceiling that a plumber left from a previous job. Alfredo is a smart and passionate business owner and does his work with quality and care. He estimated that the job would take 5 days, and it was completed in 4 with no corners being cut. They all were friendly and customer-focused throughout the job, and they were helpful in moving furniture that we were not able to do beforehand. I was impressed that Alfredo himself was here the entire time and didn't leave to work on other jobs during the day. I would absolutely work with Alfredo and Solis/Wall Covering Country in the future and have several projects in the queue right now. The estimate was higher than the other two I received, but I was not convinced that I would receive the same quality of work and excellent customer service with the less-expensive firms. "I didn't have a great experience with HAL Co. They take FOREVER to return calls/emails. The day they were scheduled to come replace my fence they no-showed and I had to call the office around 4 pm to find out they weren't coming because a job was running late. The rescheduled installation was a day I was in the office. The crew said the outlet in my back yard wasn't working, so they left without calling me or ringing the doorbell to ask about it (the circuit just needed to be reset, which my partner at home could have done). I didn't find out until several hours later when the office called to tell me the crew had left. The fence finally got installed, and a few days later a neighbor found nails in two of his tires. The crew claimed they performed a metal sweep of the area, but now the neighbor is trying to get me to replace his tires. Finally, the gate latch got damaged somehow, possibly in a storm that happened a few days after the fence install, and HAL wanted $130 to replace the latch. I bought a latch kit off Amazon for $30 and did it myself."
