"I highly recommend this companyâ ¼ï¸ I previously had another company who didnâ t complete the work. However, Tracy Evans performed exceptional work. He went the extra mile and was attentive to perfection. He was very detailed and I love his bedside matters. I look forward to having some other work completed around the house. "I was surprised at how much work it takes to remove old original doors and install new ones. Robbie did an excellent job of detailing what he needed to do to reframe the doorways to fit the new doors to make a solid and tight close. He also painted the doors. Now that it is complete, it makes our garage look pretty - - imagine that! Robbie also installed a new toilet and determined cause of leak for the old one after having two other plumbing companies come out and be unable to resolve the issue over the last 5 years, leading us to not use the toilet. 24 hours later, no leaking and we have a working toilet. He beat the quotes we got from other contractors, stayed in communication, and showed up on time; a rarity in the world of contractors. Thank you!"

Baseboards don’t have to be nailed into studs. However, nailing them into studs adds to their stability. When studs aren’t available, you can secure them with drywall nails directly into the drywall and adhesive. Always aim to nail into studs, especially in high-traffic or impact-prone areas.

The boards between floor joists are called bridging or blocking boards. These are the shortest pieces of wood in the flooring system—with beams being the longest and joists sitting somewhere in the middle—and they serve to reinforce the joists and help provide even support to the flooring above. Bridging specifically helps cut down on uneven and creaking floors in your living area.

Yes, you can find ceiling joists using simple tools if a stud finder isn't available.

Using a hammer requires patience and a keen ear. Gently tap the ceiling in a grid pattern, listening for sound changes. A hollow sound indicates space between joists, while a solid, dull thud suggests a joist. Mark the location with a pencil and confirm by tapping from different angles.

Alternatively, you can use a nail, but this method will leave small holes. You'll feel increased resistance when the nail hits a joist. Mark the spot and repeat the process every 16 or 24 inches to map the joist locations. This method is considered less reliable than using a stud finder.

Yes, Corian® and other solid surface countertops can be cut with standard woodworking tools like a circular saw or a jigsaw, but using the correct blade is crucial for the best results.

The recommended blade is a tungsten carbide-tipped blade, often called a solid-surface planer or triple chip grind blade. This type of blade is hard enough to cut through the material effectively. For a jigsaw, a fine-tooth down-cutting blade should be used.

It is important to note that a diamond blade is not necessary. Diamond blades are designed for harder materials like natural stone, concrete, or brick, and Corian is not a natural stone.

Using blades designed for wood is not recommended as they can cause microfractures that weaken the countertop's edges. While a tungsten carbide blade provides a much cleaner cut, the resulting edge will still be rough and must be sanded and smoothed to prevent microfractures from developing over time.

Professionals ensure safe, thorough repairs using quality materials, extending the life of your structure.
