"They were to gain access to remove a section of ceiling where there were water stains. Once done, they were to remove any mold. After wiping down the area and setting up the ventilation and sealing the area off using plastic sheeting and tape, they went to work and completed the job in just a few hours. I would recommend that contractor to anyone who needs this type of work done."

"The person who came to my home was friendly enough but the report was not accurate. They gave me information about the deadly mold in our home and when we saw the report and looked up average mold counts our home was in the normal range!! This company also connected me to another company which gave me a hard sale on this do it yourself mold removal kit for $3000!!!!! They wanted me to make a decision right away and give them my credit card # over the phone. I?m so glad I DID NOT DO THIS. We have discovered what the problem is and have remedied it with a $150 air cleaner"

"Josiah showed up on the days he promised and worked diligently to complete my shower install. He and his partner were respectful and congenial with my family, he even went out of his way to bring my grandson a gift on his second day in my home. I would re-hire Doc's in the future."

Biohazard Remediation questions, answered by experts

In most cases, it is safe to return home after mold remediation is complete. You should follow your mold remediation technician’s recommendations, but most pros request that homeowners wait one day after the process is complete to move back in.

After returning home, be sure to carefully inspect the exposed areas for any remaining signs of mold spores. Contact the mold remediation company if you detect any lingering mold.

Many types of mold spores and fungi spores are constantly present in the air, but they need a friendly surface and moisture to grow. Should some of these spores land on paper or wood with significant moisture present—such as drywall with a paper cover that is soaking up water from a leak—mold or fungi could begin growing. Dampness from leaky pipes, condensation on windows, leaks in a roof, flooding in a basement, or high, prolonged humidity in a small area all can create the excess moisture that mold and fungi need to grow in your home.

If contractors discover water damage, rot, or mold beneath the stucco, additional repairs will be necessary. These repairs can increase your total project cost and timeline, but addressing them promptly is essential for your home’s structural integrity. Ignoring hidden damage can lead to more severe issues and higher costs in the future.

Yes. Over time, hidden moisture from a leak in your bathroom may lead to black mold, requiring a mold remediation company’s services and the removal of large wall sections, which can be costly. For example, 100 square feet of drywall can cost as much as $400 to replace, while mold remediation can run anywhere from $500 to $3,000.

Wood tables are susceptible to mold growth, especially if they have been water-damaged. In fact, anything made of wood in your home—from tables and chairs to cabinets and floors—can grow mold since wood is both an organic material and a porous one. Major flooding and water damage are likely candidates for mold growing on your wood table, but it can also happen simply if the wood table is in a humid environment.

You can kill the mold with a proprietary cleaner, or simply a diluted bleach or even cleaning vinegar or dish soap. Always wear gloves, protective eyewear, and a face mask when dealing with mold.
