"I needed to replace a large retaining wall which was protecting an outside stairway to my basement. The existing wall had gotten to the point where the wall was in danger of imminent collapse. Jeff Dame of J&D Masonry promptly returned my call for an estimate, showed up on time, and scheduled the work to be done promptly. I was very pleased with his workmanship and professionalism. He kept me well informed of each step in the process and promptly returned my phone calls, if I had a question. Although we did not discuss some of the construction details in advance, the wall he built was first rate---cinder block, poured concrete, rebar reinforcement. He also made several aesthetic upgrades to the wall he replaced. He even placed stucco on another wall that he did not replace, so it would match perfectly. When he was finished, the worksite was cleaned up to the point that it looked like he had never been there. Throughout the entire process he was pleasant to talk with and unhurried. His pricing was very reasonable and well below another estimate I had gotten. I do not think anyone else could have accomplished a better end result. "The technicians arrived at my house and immediately went to work.  One technician cleaned the dryer vent while the other two inspected the chimney.  The technician who cleaned out the dryer vent went into the basement to inspect the dryer vent in the basement before he started.  That process took about 10 minutes.  He showed me the bag of lint that he removed from the dryer vent.  He acutally took out quit a bit of lint.  The other technicians came in to tell me that they found no cracks in the chimney and offered to spray the sealant into the chimney.  The gave me a quote ahead of time and told me they could preform the service right away so that I didn't need to make another apointment.  That whole process took about 45 minutes.  I was impressed with the professionalism of the technicians.

"We are very pleased with Sky Home Improvements/Ben Meffley's work and communication.  The work was done at a rental home so we really appreciate Ben's great communication and keeping us updated.  Ben sent before and after pictures.  There were a couple of things that Ben noticed on the roof that would become problems in the future.  He called explained the situation and sent pictures.  He was very straight forward and honest and sent pictures of the items he noticed.  It was nice to be able to see (from the pictures) what needed to be done for ourselves.  In the future if there is anymore work that needs to be done we would definitely call Sky Home Improvements.
