  There work exceeded my expectations. I was very concerned about this job because my husband and I had just had some trees removed, and our yard had been limed and reseeded. It just worked out that I hired ConWorx to do this work after my yard had been done. I mentioned to Mr. Bailey that I didn't want the yard tore up with heavy equipment, so he and his crew dug out the dirt for the foundation by hand.   We interviewed four roofing companies with experience with commercial roofing to do a variety of repairs on our church roofs which include slate, EPDM and asphalt shingles and also repairs to our copper gutters that were leaking. Brian Laverty with Cenvar Roofing was one of the more detailed roofers with his proposal and he responded very quickly. He was always available for our questions and patient with us as we gained understanding of the magnitude of our job. We hired Brian because of his price but also because of our comfort level with him and the reviews from previous customers who had similar needs as our needs. After the work was scheduled, the crew from Cenvar arrived at the promised time and they worked diligently as a team to correct the issues we had with our current roofs per their proposal. Cenvar honored their estimate for repairs although they encountered unexpected issues which was not surprising for a structure that is 100 years old. Every time, this company preformed superior workmanship (they take their craft seriously); they were always on-time, used the best materials, took care to cover things to prevent drips, cleaned up after themselves thoroughly, and completed the projects right on schedule. They are professional and very polite. They stand behind their work. They are local, use long-term employees loyal to both company and customers, and their prices are right in line with our expectations.   Owner Ricky Stroup was infinitely patient with us, as after our initial meeting it took us over a year to hire his company to do this work. During that year, we had multiple conversations with him regarding the scope of our project, and he was as willing to contract the scope as to expand it. He wrote several proposals for us, so we could see the financial impacts of our different scope options. Our indecision on scope, and delay in scheduling, never caused any frustration or ill will on his part. Mr. Stroup was helpful, friendly, and patient throughout!   When Eric Weisman met me in my front yard on June 11, 2021 he agreed to remove the Sawgrass spray & rake the area for $150. On June 16, 2021 Eric confirmed via email these services for the $150 price and he agreed to let me know when he had a specific time. Upon completion of the work, I told Eric via a phone conversation on June 22, 2021 I would be paying him with a money order. In that conversation, he agreed to that form of payment. He told me in a text message on June 22, 2021 there is definitely no rush. I never thought you weren't going to pay me. I know you're good for it. I'll send the email over. After I left him a bad review on Angie's list, on June 24, 2021 Eric texted me: what's with the bad review on Angie's List. the work was done correctly. I texted back: you should have waited for me to answer my phone. It's not all about the quality. You will get paid. Via text from Eric on June 25, 2021 he told me after 14 days he attaches a late fee of $50 if he hasn't received payment in full and Eric told me if he has not received full payment after 60 days, August 23, 2021, he will take me to small claims court. This was the first time Eric told me these two details. Via my text on June 25, 2021 Eric knows I am mailing him a money order in the amount of $150 on or about July 15, 2021 to the address on his invoice 3509 Chaparral Drive SW Roanoke Virginia 24018. Eric knows he will need to sign for the mailing. Eric stated in a text to me you have all the information you need on my invoice when I asked him to confirm that address. I have since blocked his cell number. I have all of these text messages and emails. I left him an 11 second voicemail to call me on his landline on June 30, 2021.
