"Terrible company. They are not upfront about cost of services and tack on additional fees without informing you. This is a company that is only after the money and hook you into a contract. The product is not even very effective. I have watched them perform the service via my home security system while I have been away and the yard guard is a joke. They casually apply it around the perimeter of your home, but isn't it intended to guard your entire yard? This company is a joke. Never again."

A plastic vapor barrier should completely cover your basement to prevent water from penetrating through the walls. This typically goes before installing insulation to prevent moisture from building up and becoming trapped on the inside of your insulation, where it can collect and lead to mold damage. Installing insulation after the vapor barrier allows for any moisture to exit the walls for better ventilation.

Insulating a stone house is an expensive and involved process because it requires building a double-walled house. However, despite its resistance to cracking, you should still insulate PEX pipe in unheated areas if you experience cold winters in your local area. Otherwise, repeated freezing and thawing may weaken the pipes over time and create the risk of bursting.
