Providing reliable and excellent service to our customers is our top priority. With over 14 years in the business, we offer a full line of property maintenance services with a specialization in installing kitchen cabinets, floors, and small electric repairs along with any other everyday repair needs.

"At first it went fine. The had to come back because we needed another part. So I paid 150 deposit and then it was supposed to be an additional 200-300. After the work was done I was told it was ANOTHER 400 making the total cost 550 to hang a door! After much discussion he agreed to take an additional 325 instead of the 400 but that was still way to much. He was very wishy washy on the price and was always trying to raise the final number. Very shady! I would NOT recommend this company!"

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Masonry work in Richmond requires regular upkeep, especially due to the city’s humid summers and freeze-thaw cycles. Inspect brickwork and stone veneer each spring for signs of cracked mortar joints or spalling, which are common in historic neighborhoods. Repointing mortar every 15-25 years is recommended, and periodic cleaning helps prevent efflorescence caused by Richmond’s clay-rich soil. Ensure gutters and drainage direct water away to avoid moisture damage and foundation settling.

Helpful?

Investing in masonry work in Richmond often increases home value, particularly in areas with historic brick homes or popular neighborhoods like The Fan. Features like well-maintained brick exteriors, patios, or stone walkways enhance curb appeal and signal durability to buyers. Quality masonry is prized for its low maintenance and energy efficiency, making your property more attractive in Richmond’s competitive real estate market and helping it stand out to potential buyers.

Helpful?

Masonry work in Richmond offers immediate benefits such as improved curb appeal, added outdoor living space, and protection against the city’s variable weather. Over time, brick or stone structures provide fire resistance, minimal maintenance, and longevity—often lasting for generations. Masonry’s natural insulation helps regulate indoor temperatures, reducing energy use. These advantages are especially valuable in Richmond’s climate, where durability and efficiency are important for homeowners.

Helpful?

In Richmond, homeowners sometimes neglect proper drainage, which is crucial due to heavy rainfall and clay soil. Using the wrong mortar mix, especially on older homes, can damage historic brickwork. Starting projects during wet seasons or skipping essential soil preparation often leads to settling or cracking. Overlooking local permit requirements or choosing materials that don’t suit Richmond’s climate and architectural style are also frequent mistakes that can result in costly repairs.

Helpful?

Richmond homeowners have access to several eco-friendly masonry options, such as recycled brick, permeable pavers for stormwater control, and insulated concrete blocks that boost energy efficiency. Using locally sourced stone or sustainable clay products reduces environmental impact. Many local contractors are familiar with green building practices and can recommend brick repair or mortar restoration techniques that enhance both energy savings and sustainability for Richmond homes.
