Chimney Saver Solutions repaired my chimney’s terra-cotta flue liner after I had a chimney fire in 2017. They also installed a woodstove insert with stainless steel flue pipe. They did it all at a great price and it was professionally done. Now they come every year to clean and inspect my chimney. Michael is one of their fine technicians that shows me camera video of the work after it is done. If you are in need of this kind of work, do yourself a favor and hire Chimney Saver Solutions to do it. Paul

We used this company to perform temporary repair about 4 years ago. They applied sealing membranes to both chimneys, but one of them cracked. They gave us a quote for a permanent repair and we scheduled a date. Dan and his crew arrived as agreed and did a great job. They were professional and conscientious. They cleaned up the debris from the job and washed down the deck and work area so you couldn't tell they had been there. Dan took pictures and reviewed them with us before he left and then the office emailed the pictures to us for our files. The chimneys look great.

The work was suitable but when they came to clean fireplace, they charged 200 extra to inspect liner. I said dont you inspect liner as you are cleaning. They said no....Guess what the other companies inspect while cleaning...so i used someone else. Also the chimney cap repair quote twice cost as others....i hear they are commission based....other rview said same thing

"Good morning Ms. [Member Name Removed], I am sorry to hear of the issues you experienced during your chimney sweep and inspection. I have reviewed our records and am unable to find a history of you being our customer or servicing your address. I'd like the opportunity to discuss this with you. Please call our office at 804-440-5000. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you. Kind Regards. Janet O'Brien, Office Manager"

Incompetent workers, receptionist who refuses to allow customers to talk with "managers", "managers" who don't return calls, and repairmen who destroy the inside of your home. My only recommendation here is to avoid this company like the plague! Nearly three months after accepting Chimney Savers' proposal and putting a deposit down on work, the work that was agreed to has not been completed and we can't even get a simple phone call back from this company. - After putting a deposit down on the work that was to be done, I had to call Chimney Savers multiple times just to get the work scheduled. - When work was not completed in 1-2 days (as I was told it would be), I again had to call Chimney Savers to find out when they would be back to our home to complete the work they had started. - Nearly two weeks after starting the job, they sent someone out to finish the exterior work who had no idea that part of the work included installing a chimney cap. He was completely clueless as to what work was supposed to be done. - I was then told that the cap had to be special ordered. This was SIX weeks after I accepted the proposal and put down a deposit on the work. Why was the cap not ordered weeks before? - I called multiple times asking to speak with a manager. Janet, the secretary, was very reluctant to put me through to a manager (which is very telling). Janet finally put me through to Alex, a "project coordinator" who did nothing about my concerns. - The first time Chimney Savers was out to our home, they tracked red clay dirt all over our stair runner and spilled a dark gray material on the stairs as well. It took 5 weeks and multiple phone calls to Chimney Savers for them to finally schedule a carpet cleaning company to professionally clean the stains they left out of our carpet. The stains were so bad it took two cleanings to remove the stains. - On Christmas eve, Chimney Savers sent two men out to install the special ordered chimney cap...and several hours later, they discovered it didn't fit! Yep, the cap that had to be special ordered to my chimney's measurements and delayed completion of the work was the wrong size! But wait, the men said they might have one in their warehouse that could work! (So, the special ordered cap doesn't fit, but a random one in their warehouse might fit.) We told the men to leave our property and we'd find someone else to complete the work. They left without putting our existing Chimney caps back on correctly. - They called two days later to collect payment. First time in the whole process that Chimney Savers initiated contact with me. - We have tried emailing and calling Garret, a supposed manager, but he does not return our calls. As of the date of this review, we are still waiting to speak with a manager or owner.

They scheduled quickly and were punctual. I have two chimneys and one has two gas fireplaces on it. The charge for each opening because they need to inspect that part of the chimney separately, so the inspection itself was $517 and for that $517 the report failed to mention that one of the chimney had been blocked with foam so when I tried to turn it on there was nowhere for the gas to go. They said the chimneys required $5,100 of repairs: $2,800 to clean creosote from one chimney and $2,300 to repairs the crowns and replace the caps on the other two. Subsequent estimates have been much more reasonable.

All work very well done and on time barring a few unforeseen difficulties outside of their control. But everyone worked diligently to get the project done correctly. Very impressed with their efforts to match the exact bricks needed for the repair. We did not need an exact match but if we did, I am certain they would have taken whatever time necessary to find the exact bricks! Brickwork was excellent, bricks the right size , etc and chimney crown repair is still solid, holding up to subsequent storms.

A separate roofing contractor (Hermitage) installed the cricket. Chimney Saver sent masons to do the brickwork, then came back for waterproofing. Finally the chimney no longer leaks and has not leaked in last 2 years.

Consumer beware! I got a quote for a standard cleaning and inspection of the chimney for $239. This price was over 100% higher than several other A-rated companies. They need to get a grip on reality and get competitive with their peers. What a rip-off! Needless to say I didn't hire them.

They were pretty good. They told us basically that we needed to get things checked out before they did any work on it because it could have cost a lot of money for me. They were very obvious and upfront about it, which is kind of nice. One of the things I liked about it was that they were very honest. They did not want to do any work if there was something wrong with the foundation for the house over time. Probably if there was something wrong with the foundation it would break down what they would do so it would cost us more money in the long run. I would say their cost was pretty reasonable. Their responsiveness was great, getting an appointment was not so good. The availability was not great. I called in November and December 27 was the best they could do. They were on time.

Absolutely horrible bait-and-switch type of service advertisement. First, they have you wait two months to come inspect your chimney. Second, they do a ridiculous poor job at cleaning the chimney ($199 price tag), and then they use the additional $50 to do the inspection. Third, they come back with an absurd list of things to fix and they ask you for $9,000 to do it. You take their proposal, you toss into the trash. Then, you install a carbon monoxide detector, which comes with several security packages, turn on the fireplace, and miracle! It works like a charm.

As it turned out, the workers did not use scaffolding, only ladders that went up in a jiffy. After some discussion with the manager, he agreed to remove the extra $1200, reducing the bill to $3190, which I thought was reasonable given the special skills involved and working 30 feet up.

No one showed up during the original set appointment. When I called, I was told that I was never scheduled but that I would get a call back the next morning. The company has yet to return my calls and my attempt to reach them went straight to voicemail. I'm very disappointed in their customer service and regret wasting close to 3 weeks for a service call that never occurred. I will be taking my business elsewhere
