"I had a great experience with these guys. After a minor scheduling snafu, they did a great job collecting all the junk I specified, both inside and outside the house, quickly and professionally.  They had a well-marked vehicle, wore uniforms, and were super apologetic about the schedule mishap (which could have been totally my fault). Would use again in a heartbeat and recommend to everyone I know!

"I would absolutely recommend these guys for your moving needs. Rick came by, looked at what I wanted moved and gave me a written quote on the spot (some companies try to do this over the phone & later try to charge you more). After he left I noticed that there was a coupon on Angie's list for 10% off, I called Rick and he didn't have any problem honoring the coupon. They arrived with 5 guys and moved our furniture taking care not to damage anything. That was the most important thing to me because I've had damage in the past and its hard to collect any insurance, and even if you do they rarely give you replacement value for items. All my furniture was placed where I told them and the guys were all very polite and professional. You can hire these guys with confidence.

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

If you cook a lot or have a larger household, a garbage disposal can be worth it, since it streamlines your kitchen duties and helps to keep food waste out of landfills. It helps to know the cost of garbage disposal installation before you make your decision. The average price is about $400, but you can expect to pay more for higher-end models or if you hire a pro to do the job for you.

The most common garbage disposal size in the U.S. is 1/2 horsepower. This size is ideal for households with three or fewer people or those that don't produce much food waste. Although 1/2 horsepower can't handle the typical food waste load for a household of four (which is about 250 pounds of food waste annually) as effectively as 3/4 horsepower, it remains the most common size of garbage disposal on the market.

These appliances certainly increase the number of things allowed down the drain, but they’re not foolproof. There are several items you shouldn’t put in your garbage disposal, according to manufacturers and technicians. Don’t put coffee grounds down the drain. The same goes for eggshells, potato peels, hard foods, onion skins, and any dry, expandable food. Most importantly, never put grease or oils down the drain.

Soil is just one of the items you shouldn't put down a garbage disposal. Garbage disposals are only meant for soft, non-fibrous foods. Large amounts of topsoil, dirt, or rocks will damage the blades of your garbage disposal or clog the pipes. If a small amount of dirt goes down the drain as you repot a plant, you shouldn't have to worry, but never dump a whole pot of soil in the sink for fast disposal.

To prevent drain clogs, perform regular maintenance and cleaning. Avoid disposing of substances like grease or coffee grounds down the sink. Additionally, installing and routinely using drain strainers can help catch debris and prevent blockages from forming.
