"Very conscientious workmanship. No outstanding issues were left. I could not have done this major remodeling to get my rental property back online within 2 months. Excellent work was accomplished in a very short period of time at a very reasonable cost."

Small jobs welcome

"Matt, the owner of Guard N Table, is customer oriented. He explained what he needed to do and handled it without any problems. He completed the job in the timeframe we discussed and cleaned up after himself. Best of all he is a genuinely kind person and I felt completely comfortable with him being in my home. Truly the best Handyman I have ever hired."

"Eric is a very personable, kind and knowledgeable. I was able to schedule my appointment in a very short period of time and he showed up right on time. I needed a flood light installed and the 1st one I bought didn't work. I purchased a new one the next day and Eric came out and installed it. It didn't work at first, but he was determined to find the cause, he even brought one of his lights to try just in case, but he did get it working. He installed a ceiling fan the same day, no issues. I also had him back to install a kitchen faucet within a couple of days and re-caulk one of my shower/tub inserts. His pricing is very, very reasonable, quality of work is top notch and I would most definitely recommend Eric and will most definitely add him to the top of my list of contractors."

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

Using a pro guarantees correct tools and expertise, preventing potential household mishaps.

Hiring a handyperson offers several benefits. They can save you time and hassle by completing tasks you may not have the time or experience to do yourself. A key advantage is ensuring the project is done correctly, which can prevent future issues and save money in the long run. For projects that pose safety risks, hiring an experienced professional is a much safer option. Additionally, handypeople are often more available for smaller jobs that larger contractors may not have the schedule for.

Whether or not you’re moving the hookups or simply replacing your current units, you should hire a qualified appliance pro to install your new washer and dryer.

A handyperson can perform a wide variety of home improvement and repair projects. Common jobs include painting, cleaning gutters, assembling new furniture, and replacing fixtures like cabinets or lights. They can also handle more complex tasks such as installing a dishwasher, fixing minor plumbing leaks, refinishing wood floors, and replacing doors. Generally, a handyperson is ideal for any project that does not require a specific license or certification, such as those related to major plumbing, electrical, or structural work, which should be handled by a licensed tradesperson.

Handypeople usually don’t hold trade licenses, so they typically aren’t qualified to tackle projects involving installing or making alterations to plumbing or electrical lines. Below are some jobs that a handyperson usually won’t be able to complete:

  • Installing plumbing for a new kitchen or bathroom

  • Replacing plumbing pipes

  • Installing or repairing septic systems

  • Running new electrical wiring

  • Installing a subpanel
