"I was extremely impressed with the very fine service I recieved from J.E.S. Foundation Repair, Salem, Va. They installed a French drain behind my house and across a portion of my yard in Oct. 2021. They were very professional and courteous from the rep they sent to assess the situation to the very efficient appointment updates as to when they would start the job. The crew called ahead when they were on the way and arrived right on time and also finished the job on time. "I had made a poor hiring decision with a different landscape contractor.  I needed some drainage issues fixed, lot regrading, and sod placed.  The first contractor did an awful job not only failing to fix the problems, but actually making them much worse which caused flooding and water damage to the basement we were in the middle of finishing.  It became an emergency situation in the midst of some really wet weather.  I did more research this time, and chose the Garrett Group.  Dave was very responsive and sympathetic to my situation.  He came out within 12 hours of my inquiry to survey the situation and make his recommendations.  He immediately made me feel comfortable that I was making the right decision.  Night and day from the first guy.  His estimate was not only reasonable, but almost half of the other two companies I contacted. "Once the old door was off, Randy discovered that some of the foundation blocks were crumbling and needed to be caulked.  Also the blocks had not been filled which made the foundation walls unstable. This meant an adjustment to the scope of the job and the budget. Randy explained it all to me and we went ahead with the project.  After he stabilized the foundation walls, he leveled them for proper installation of the door and installed the concrete pad.  The door had to be ordered and when it came in Randy installed it and the result is beautiful.  I couldn't be more pleased!
Randy was very professional and a pleasure to work with.  He kept me informed with his progress, answered all my questions and stayed within budget.  I will hire him for other projects I have. I highly recommend him.

"My house was built on a hill with no thought into how the yard was going to be used. The severely sloped yard made it nearly impossible for the kids to play outside. I contacted Legendary Landscapes to help me figure out a solution. Chad, the owner, came over for the initial consultation. I expressed my needs and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. He proposed a solution for my yard and explained the steps necessary. I thought i was going to need an expensive retaining wall but Chad suggested a lower cost alternative for me using rip rap that i didn't even know was possible. The proposed price was exactly what i was looking for so the work was scheduled for the following week. Chad and his helper showed up on time and performed the work in 95 degree plus weather (kudos to them, too hot for me!). The work was done on time, 2 days as proposed despite the insane heat, with no surprises or issues. I wasn't sure how good the rip rap wall would look but i was pleasantly surprised with the final product. The work done looks great and my yard looks enormous now! I highly recommend this company, they are going on my speed dial as the first and only call for future landscaping projects.

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."
