"Jason and his team did a fabulous job. Their customer service was fantastic. They made surely I was completely satisfied with their work. They diligently worked during a dangerously hot week and never complained. I received estimates from 5 tree services. None of them compared to Jason's professionalism and customer service. I will use them again and I have already recommended them to others. Their work was truly First Class!"

"They did a fantastic job! Great communication from beginning to end. We had them trim several tree branches off our sheds and create a canopy. They also hedged our shrubs and cut out dead branches from a smaller tree. Site was left clean and tidy."

"I called to set up an appointment and was told to submit the details via an email, which I did. I saw where the email was sent to someone else to follow up with me and that was the last I ever heard from anyone."

"I had 3 troublesome trees. Ricky and his crew were ready to work. They were able to come over and complete the work in about 1 1/2 hours. The crew removed the trees, raked up the debris, and hauled it away. I was amazed at the wonderful work Ricky and his crew did. I would enlist the services of Better Views Tree and Landscaping again. Thank you for a job well-done."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Surface-level tree roots might only pose a small threat, such as being a tripping hazard or obstacle when you mow your lawn. But if mature tree roots start growing in the direction of your home’s foundation or plumbing system, it could be a real problem. Cutting small tree roots out before they grow too large can keep your home safe without removing the whole tree.

While trees can grow in the curb strip between the sidewalk and the street, this placement often poses the problem of interfering with overhead power lines. It’s best to consult your local utility provider and tree planting service before transplanting a tree that might grow into power lines. Also, you should never work within 20 feet of a live power line to avoid the risk of electric shock. Tree branches should never touch nearby power lines, so it’s essential to ensure your tree isn’t in danger of growing too close to them.

You can use a chainsaw, but it won’t remove the entire stump or root ball and is not a recommended method. It takes quite a bit of physical work to achieve and will likely dull or ruin your chainsaw. Instead, consider using salt, herbicide, light deprivation, boiling water, stump grinding, or burning to kill a tree stump. These methods allow you to kill a stump using minimal machinery and physical exertion.

There are a few instances in which removing a tree is the best option. You might do this if the tree looks to be a major danger—potentially falling onto your home, your car, or other parts of your property—or it’s diseased beyond repair. A tree that is growing too close to your house might need to be removed to prevent mold growth.

The best tool to cut trees is a chain saw. You can adjust your chain saw to the correct size based on the size of the branches, offering you the fastest and cleanest cut for medium- to large-sized trees. Depending on the type of chainsaw you use, you can cut through larger trees than you would with a more manual tool like an ax.
