"The quality of our deck replacement is great. The crew was very respectful and worked with us as we had our dogs also in the back yard as they were working. Everyday they left the jobsite clean and the final clean-up was very nice. The cost of the job was a bit more expensive than I was hopping for, but the end result is fantastic. Nathan is a nice guy and you can trust that Trident Contracting will do a good job with your next project."

"Her quality of work along with the efficiency of time on the job made the process of going through this kitchen project less stressful. Sheâ s very knowledgeable and professional. She was listening to me very carefully, when I explained what I needed to get done. Then she explained positive and negative sides of my plan. Also, she suggested few things to change and add. At the end I was able to find a very good plan for my kitchen project. Communication was incredible as I had all my questions answered quickly and her suggestions to ideas and cost was on point. What a pleasure to work with, I LOVE MY KITCHEN..."

Interior Design and Decorating questions, answered by experts

Decorating a tree yourself will only take between one and two hours, but a professional designer may take more time to create their vision. When hiring a pro, assume the work will take a minimum of three to four hours.

Hiring a high-quality interior decorator should always start with reading through online reviews to see the kind of experience other homeowners have had. You can narrow down your search and then ask the remaining companies for references and examples of their past work. It’s during this stage that you’re likely to find a company that suits your specific tastes and one that has experience with the style you want to bring into your home. You should consider calling references to ask about the process and the homeowners’ experiences with the decorator before, during, and after service.

Full decorating services often provide rental trees for their Christmas packages, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding one. However, individual interior decorators and others may not offer rented trees, so always check the specifics of their services before booking. Keep in mind that you’ll need to prepare the Christmas tree for pick-up shortly after the holidays.

A chandelier can last 10 to 50 years or more, depending on its quality, usage, and maintenance. High-quality chandeliers made of durable materials like crystal, brass, or wrought iron tend to have longer life spans. Regular cleaning, timely light bulb replacement, and proper care can extend its life significantly. Vintage or antique chandeliers can sometimes last for generations with proper restoration and upkeep.

If your chandelier is flickering, it may just need new bulbs or wiring, so consider repairs before replacing it.

Part of the beauty of academia decor is that most textures and materials will feel right at home, provided they’re dark. Some common textures include natural wood, dark metals like iron, velvet, and leather. Incorporating these into your dark academia decor will make them look right at home. Glass is another option in some cases, so fill in gaps in your decor with small glass jars, or really lean on the gothic roots of dark academia with stained glass.
