Small jobs welcome

I have always enjoyed cleaning, organizing, consolidating and decluttering. I stand back and look at all I’ve accomplished for the customer I’m helping and it makes me feel so motivated and like I’ve really made a difference. I’m very detail oriented and notice everything, if not too much of everything. I never skimp or cut corners to save time or make the job go by faster. The job needs to be done correctly the first time and that’s my goal. \nI’ve had a lot of practice cleaning and I’m praised for what I do by people I’ve helped. \nBeing clean and organized is a top priority for me and I’d like customers/clients I work for to also feel like it’s a top priority.

"Project started as "remove carpet glue from a concrete basement floor". The project evolved into removal of peel and stick tiles from the entryway, cleaning the glue from both the tile section as the carpet area, filled divets left by the carpet tack strips, painted the floor with epoxy-sealant. He came to give me a quote and when we agreed, he left and returned the same day with a worker to begin the project and returned on Saturday to complete the job. They were very easy to work with; good work ethics; and very reasonable in price. I suggested they add "Handyman" to their accomplishments. Please contact me for additional references. I will definitely call they for future projects - cleaning and general handyman services."

House Cleaning questions, answered by experts

If you’re hiring someone to clean an empty and tidy house before you move in, there’s little prep work to do. Make sure to discuss your goals with the cleaning service, arrange entry to the house, and communicate any problem areas or special requests. If you’ve already moved into the house, or if it’s messy, it’s best to complete the following tasks before the cleaners arrive:

  • Declutter things like clothes, toys, or cardboard boxes

  • Do the dishes

  • Put fragile items in a safe spot where they can’t be accidentally broken

  • Keep pets away from cleaning areas

The best thing to clean bathrooms with is an all-purpose cleaner, a mixture of white vinegar and water (50:50 ratio), and a glass cleaner for mirrors and glass surfaces. You can also use baking soda on areas with soap residue or mildew. The best tool to clean a bathroom depends on the specific task, but a sponge and a fresh towel are versatile options.

The formula for neutralizing skunk smell is one quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide, ¼ cup baking soda, and one to two teaspoons of dish soap. The University of Nebraska says a chemist discovered that this mixture changes the thiols, the chemical compound that causes the odor, into acids that don’t carry a skunk smell, thus eliminating the odor.

Yes, many services provide preseason checks and winterizing to ensure year-round efficiency.

Homeowners can perform basic cleanup, but for efficient and thorough results, larger-scale or thorough cleaning may be best left to professionals.
