"It is with deep satisfaction that I recommend Grady?s Painting and Plastering & Construction. Mr. George Grady is a skilled craftsman. He was hired to correct long neglected and extensive masonry and window issues on a large, beautiful Presbyterian Church built in the Civil War era in Philadelphia. The property was neglected with only minimal maintenance performed over the last 40+ years. The building was in severe decline and in need of stabilization and restoration on many fronts. Cracked ledge plates were chipped out and reestablished, internal walls damaged by leakage were broken out and repaired, brickwork was repointed and in severe cases reestablished to original strength and beauty. Leaks around the base of the building were addressed to stabilize deterioration of the foundation. Large rotted window sills under beautiful stained glass windows were restored after significant masonry reestablishment due to water damage under the rotted out sills. Broken and missing stained glass windows are in the process of repair and replacement. The process started with new metal frames cast by Mr. Grady. The new frames will hold clear painted replications of the original stained glass, also crafted by Mr. Grady. Regular windows all around the church and manse were also repaired and restored. Roof leaks were accurately identified and repaired. A sagging plaster ceiling has been torn out and restored. All this work was done by Mr. Grady alone or with an occasional helper. He worked with care, expertise and respect for the original structure. The results far exceeded our expectations and have injected new life into a building on the brink. This building, owned by the Presbytery of Philadelphia, now houses a new urban ministry in a newly gentrifying area of the city. Although we were told the installation was scheduled for two days, the four man crew that arrived was able to finish in a single day! Each window was installed with the same consistency in quality and efficiency. Furthermore, the crew did an excellent job protecting our floors and furnishings in every room. When it comes to evaluating the installation crew, we couldn't be happier. Regarding price, we probably paid more than we should, but that's on us. We advise getting several other quotes first and then get Castle's quote. This will definitely help in your negotiating. The windows have definitely helped to eliminate draftiness in our home and helped to maintain a consistent temperature."

They fixed an armoire door (antique French, so no hinges) when no one else was able to do so, and restored its veneer and cleaned the glass on the doors which had 200 years of mineral deposits. Next, they reupholstered a barrel chair, doing a beautiful job; it looks better than when I first bought it. Wilson has over 40 years of restoration experience with the Catholic Church in Italy and Ecuador, and it shows. He is also very personable and diligent when informing his customers of their job status. I highly recommend d them."

"I've hired them before to clean my gutters after getting a few quotes from other companies - they offered the best value. I do have to wait a while sometimes for them to come out but they do let you know ahead of time of a window. They clean up too. I like that they can do the work without me being home and they send video and pictures of what they see on the roof. I hired them again to fix a vent cap on my roof. What I really like about them is their online portal so I can pay for quotes/deposits quickly via their site. The main owner Justin is nice too and easily available whenever I've had questions on timing / invoicing."

"Castle called to set up measurements for window manufacture. Their rep showed up on time and was a relatively quick procedure to measure. They called again once windows were ready to install, to set up installation date. Superb job performed by the removal/install team. They called the day before their arrival and then again the morning of arrival. Went straight to work and were productive from start to finish. I had two sets of double windows replaced with double slider windows and you cannot tell the new windows frames are different from what was originally installed. Thoroughly cleaned the work area, to my satisfaction, when they were done. The only problem was they provided only half screens instead of full screens for the double sliders, however they rectified this when informed."
