"Coastline did an excellent job on our landscaping. Our project started out as a brick paver patio, walkway and flower gardens. Chris Cronin listened to what we had in mind and improved upon our original vision. We trusted his judgment in the walkway and flower bed designs as well as plant selection and were not disappointed. Chris's team was here when he said they'd be here and they finished the project with in the promised time frame. The brick paver patio, walkways and flower beds are absolutely beautiful. During the project we changed our scope to include sod in both the front and back yards - everything else looked so good we decided to do the grass too. The sod in the backyard has been laid and the front will be done shortly. Coastline gave us very competitive pricing and did an excellent job on the entire project. Chris Cronin and his team was a pleasure to work with and I'd highly recommend them to anyone."

"He was very prompt in picking up the piece. ?However, after a week, we tried to call and the phone number had been changed. ?Once we got the new phone number he was very responsive. ?The work on the furniture was done beautifully and we are very, very happy with it. Allessandro is a very pleasant person who takes a lot of pride in his craftsmanship -- and he is a craftsman. ?I would recommend him."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Deep clean your koi pond at least once a year to keep your fish healthy and your pond in good shape. Water testing, debris removal, and partial water changes should be performed weekly. Seasonal professional service will ensure everything is clean and functioning properly.

A koi pond should be at least 5 feet deep to keep the fish healthy and ensure they don’t freeze in winter. Koi fish are also known for growing large, so the more room you have, the better. A larger koi pond size will allow the fish to grow bigger than a smaller one will, and the more fish you have, the bigger the pond you’ll need. Learn how to build a pond in your backyard to ensure it remains functional and aesthetically pleasing for a long time.

Like pools, ponds can be a safety risk, so they may increase your homeowners insurance. Be sure to let your insurance company know if you build a pond on your property—they may have safety requirements in order to keep your premium from increasing.

How many fish can call your pond home depends on the volume of the pond and the fish size. Your pond's filtration system also influences the number of fish that will thrive in a pond. A general rule of thumb is to have 1 inch of fish for every square foot in a pond that's 2 feet deep. Another rule of thumb you can follow is to have one koi fish for every 200 gallons of water or two goldfish for every 200 gallons.

Lifespans vary by material and manufacturer, but pond liners last anywhere from 10 to 75 years. For example, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pond liners have a life expectancy of up to 20 years. Other types of pond liners, including those made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), can last 40 to 50 years.
