"Checked into a newly leased home to find that it was not sufficiently clean for the arrival of the rest of the family (including 3 children) a few days later. Maria worked with me to accommodate my "emergency" and the house was in great shape when the family got there. The team of two worked very hard to complete the entire 2,300 sq ft home. Great attention to detail. The following week, when contractors made a mess of one of the rooms and after all of the furnishings were moved in, she saved the day once again by working us into her schedule. We will definitely call on Maria/A+ for future cleaning needs."

"They were here for a "one-time whole-house deep-cleaning," & they did a great job, & were very pleasant people, as well. I highly recommend Royal Cleaning Services, & hope to have them back again."

Clean baseboards about once a month alongside the rest of your monthly home cleaning checklist. Dust likes to tumble from the ceilings, walls, and drapes to the floor but often gets caught on the baseboard on its way down. Remove loose dust at least once a month and give it a deeper scrub during your annual spring cleaning.

As a general rule, you should clean your oven at least every three months, though this depends on how often you use it and the amount of residue buildup. A clear sign that your oven needs cleaning is if you notice smoke or a burning smell during use. Many ovens have a self-cleaning cycle, which heats the oven to an extreme temperature. If you use this feature, stay home while it runs and consider ventilating the room, as it can create smoke. For manual cleaning, you can make a paste of baking soda and water or use white vinegar before resorting to harsher, store-bought oven cleaners.

Yes, many services offer waxing as part of the polishing process. Confirm with your provider.

Following a few basic tips for maintaining your front-load washer can extend your unit’s lifespan.

  • Clean your machine monthly and always use the correct detergent. (If your machine is High-Efficiency, only use HE detergent.)

  • Avoid fabric softener.

  • Leave the washer door open after a cycle to avoid moisture buildup.

  • Remove all of the wet clothes promptly, and wipe down the machine after each use.

  • Conduct an annual inspection yourself or hire someone to check that your machine is in tip-top shape. Proper maintenance means your machine will clean your clothes as best as possible, and you’ll prevent common issues like mold and mildew build-up on the seal or clogged filters from the water inlets.

To find the best house cleaner to keep your place pristine while freeing up your time, ask for word-of-mouth recommendations and check online reviews. Arrange background checks for any housekeeper you’re considering hiring and ensure they have appropriate bonds and insurance. It's also worth interviewing the company or individual cleaner and outlining expectations.
