I am an Ex food industry worker that was fed up with the grind and hustle. I have started cleaning houses, gutters, junk removal, yards, move ins and outs. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. My dream is to make this my full time job to help take care of my wife and kids.

"I have a warehouse unit with tenants getting ready to move in, I needed painting, and some carpentry work done and vinyl tiles cleaned. Robert was very responsive at first and wanted to to the job, and was very confident in his talents. I did ask him to do a few more tasks in the middle of the job and he did not say it was a problem, and we negotiated different pricing. He was not thorough in any of the jobs he completed, He was to buff out floors, which he did, but not get the corners, or the edges, as I had to go behind him and finish the job. The big job of painting was sub par. There are streaks and poor strokes throughout the job. Instead of taking all the outlet covers off, he taped them and still got paint all over them, and had white showing all around them when the tape was removed, I had to take them off and clean them all, and paint around them after he left. He got paint on several ceiling tiles so bad the tenant has asked me to replace them. One of the paint cans which has 1/2 gallon left in looks like he stepped on it and crushed it so bad that I can't open it. I asked him about it and he never responded I asked him to come back and fix these mistakes, and he will not respond to my emails or texts. The tenants did a walk through and now want me to finish the painting job, when I contacted Robert, he won't respond."

"This guy came out to fix my blinds. A few weeks later they broke again. He said he would come out and repair them and never showed. He will not answer the phone or texts. Stay away from this crook. He got paid and never returned."

Blind Cleaning questions, answered by experts

If properly maintained, cellular shades should last between five to seven years. This makes them on the lower end of the lifespan spectrum, which other higher quality shades materials like wood lasting closer to 10 to 15 years.

Clean glass regularly, inspect seals and frames, and address minor damage promptly to prevent further issues.

Professional blind cleaning costs between $10 to $50 per blind. The type of blind and blind size make up most of the cost, but you may also need to pay a fee for cleaning supplies. Aluminum Venetian blinds are quite dirt resistant and cost around $10 to $34 per blind. However, roller blinds are more complex to clean, ranging from $18 to $50 per blind.

To clean your vertical blinds, dust each slat with a feather duster or microfiber cloth. If you need to deep clean the slats, you can remove them and wipe them down with mild soap and water (check the material though, since not every material can handle water). You can also vacuum out dust from the track using a vacuum attachment with a brush.

To darken your windows without curtains, try installing window film or even installing an awning outside your windows. Window film is a DIY-friendly option with many different darkness levels you can choose from to fit your desired look. Awnings can also help by casting shade over your window, though this isn’t feasible for every home.
