Floyds 4 Seasons Heating and Air is a residential HVAC company that prides itself in quality HVAC services and installations. Our company is a local, small company that brings honesty and professionalism to all homes we serve. Let our team serve your family.

"I was looking for someone to look at my furnace and give me an estimate. Josh Floyd and Floyd's 4 all Seasons was the first name on the list I called him with some general questions and within minutes he was at my door. He told me the problem was the thermostat and went to the truck and brought in another he claimed was new. He then told us the amount we owed him was 159 for showing up and 150 for thermostat. After 3 days thermostat quit working. I never got a receipt or estimate to my email. When I finally reached Mr. Floyd (not answer phone) he said he would send another which was not received . I told him I was not happy with his work and wanted a refund. He wanted to argue the fact that I never saw him take new thermostat from a box or packaging. I want my 300 back."

Air Duct Cleaning questions, answered by experts

You can partially clean the ductwork yourself using a dryer vent brush and a high-powered vacuum cleaner. However, without the proper equipment, you won’t be able to reach deep inside the ductwork for a thorough cleaning. A professional air duct cleaning company can remove all the dust and debris from your ductwork and address rust before it becomes a more significant issue.

Air vents should never be blocked. It can disrupt the airflow in your home and make rooms too stuffy, hot, or cold. If the vents are blowing out cold air when you want hot air, covering the return vents won't solve the problem. You either have a dirty air filter, furnace problems, or, more than likely, leaky air ducts that need sealing.

If you just moved into a new house or found significant mold, dust, or pest remnants in your vents, or you see condensation on your air vents, you can easily find a highly trained pro to do the job correctly by asking a few key questions:

  • Do you have proof of liability insurance?

  • What about worker's compensation insurance?

  • Are you a member of the NADCA?

  • Have you worked on my model of HVAC system before?

  • What is included in your contracted amount?

  • Can you provide local references?

If adjusting your dampers is not giving you the performance you want, such as a reduction in energy bills, you may want to consider the cost to reroute ductwork. You may have a poorly designed system that doesn’t meet your home’s needs. If you added on to the home, for example, this could explain the need to add or reroute some ductwork to help the dampers work better.

The cost depends on the exact task. Overall, AC tuneups cost $70 to $150 on average. Filter replacement, which is one of the most important HVAC maintenance tasks, costs anywhere from $5 to $20 per filter on average. Refrigerant replacement costs $125 on average. Coil cleaning costs $100 to $400.
