Without exception, I have been pleased with service, pricing, and professionalism. During yearly inspections, they will suggest maintenance that could be done but let me know whether it is or isn't necessary at that time. When I have questions, they'll walk out to my car with me and talk me through the answer, or let me know what to keep an eye out for. I always feel like I'm in good hands at Hand J!

I had used Carlos before for a small A/C repair and called him at 7:30am the next morning. He opens at 8:00 and called me exactly at 8 on the dot. He was even able to squeeze me in that same day, over what probably should have been his lunchtime. I had to be at work so I asked him to give me a 15-minute heads-up call so I could meet him at my home. He did. He quickly found the most obvious problem (capacitor), but like he always does, he thoroughly checked every other part of the system in detail. Something wasn't right about the system pressure, so he kept looking for something else. Because the system came back on after he replaced the capacitor, most repair professionals would have left at that point and considered the job finished. Carlos discovered a blockage in the system, which was a much more serious problem. If we had just gone on to run our A/C system with a new capacitor, this problem would have grown and caused us to probably need an entire coil or system replacement within a few weeks or months (thousands of dollars). Carlos described everything in detail and gave me three options for a repair, from least expensive/shortest term fix to most expensive/longest term fix. He was completely informative, no pressure, just laying out the pros and cons of the various options. I found this extremely helpful. I chose one of the options, and he said he would have to order some parts and come back in 2 days. He did not charge me anything that day, saying I could pay the whole thing when he came back to complete the fix.
Not only did he come back exactly on time, he spent over 6 hours (with a helper!) in the hot sun and the attic fixing this issue, which involved a lot of tricky technical work. Again he checked everything thoroughly to make sure the fix was sound. I was shocked when the total bill was only $640, since he put in easily 8-9 hours of labor (6 of them with an assistant) on two separate days, and the total labor charge for the whole thing was less than $200 of the overall bill. I included a tip in my payment because it is truly rare and exceptional to receive such knowledgeable, professional service. I recommend everyone with gas line, A/C or heating system issues use Caribbean Breeze. Carlos knows EVERYTHING about these things, and he is a polite person and d*** hard worker.

It turned out there was a issue with the pipe coming out of the house. Pulaski Septic Service was prompt and courteous. They also gave me a business card for a contractor to do the repair of the pipe when I was ready.
I would wholeheartedly recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

He assured me he would repair it back to its original condition. He put in a temporary post and box and said he would complete repairs int he spring. In the spring, he refused to complete the repairs. I finally had to take him to Small Claims Court, where I was successful in obtaining a judgment against him and collected a sum of money necessary to complete the repairs. Additionally, on one occasion after a snow storm, I returned from out of town and could not get up my driveway. Mr. Barlow insisted it had been plowed and stated he would come out and plow for an additional $50. I had to shovel it out myself even though I had contracted him for plowing which had obviously not been done. In my contacts with him in trying to resolve these matters, he used abusive and even obscene (think \"F\" word) in his conversations with me. Mr. Barlow apparently also does landscaping services. Although I have not used him in that regard, based on my experience with him and his unprofessional attitude, I would certainly avoid doing any business with this company."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mi/troy/landscape-design-and-construction-reviews-2087169.htm"},"position":10}]}
It was a fantastic experience! We got weekly reports with photographs of the work being done. At least once a week we talked with Owner, Tim Welsh or John Thomas, his Project Manager. We drove up only once in the middle of the four-month repair to have an on-ground meeting. Other than that,...

Since we began servicing the Southern Virginia community, Snell Fence company has provided the gold standard in fencing. Our founder and operator, Jamie Snell, makes his home in Bedford and has fallen in love with this community. In December of 2013, Jamie and his family tragically lost their historic home on the Bedford loop to a fire. In the following months, friends and strangers alike from the entire region surrounded the Snells with goodwill and support. The level of care the Snells received from the community has further strengthened Jamie's commitment to not only do excellent work as a fence provider, but to use his skill in business and construction as a way to better the community to which he feels a debt of gratitude.

"We hired Brian to finish our basement. Do NOT hire Brian for drywall or painting. Yes, his prices are good, but you get what you pay for. Do not expect a finished, quality job. We had him go over problem areas once and we did not see much improvement. At the end, you could see paint strokes everywhere, gaps in the drywall, tape lines, paint drips, wall paint on the ceiling and ceiling paint on the walls, uneven walls, paint on hardware and the floor, cracks, not all areas that needed caulking were caulked, areas that were not sanded enough, and long cracks/buckling going across the ceiling where it should have been staggered instead of square hung across a large area. He said the whole job would take 3-4 weeks and we did not believe this. It ended up taking 3 months. He rushed at the end and did not check over his work. He told us he was assuming we would add the final coat of paint... He did one coat of paint (mixed with primer) on new drywall. Every painter we asked afterwards said it is standard to do at least three coats on new drywall. One of primer and 2 coats of paint. At first, he said he stood by his work. My husband got him to admit he rushed at the end and there were many problem areas. He offered to come on his free time to try to repair and add another coat of paint, but we were not confident in his abilities. All painters who gave us quotes said it was the worst job they have seen. The company we ended up hiring said it was the most extensive repair job they had ever done. Do not listen to Brian's advice on obtaining a building permit and do not expect him to know everything that is required by code. Brian is skilled in some areas, but his attention to detail is very much lacking and he will cut corners."

Yes, most states require a fencing installer to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed fence installer could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification, which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
