"The tree work performed at my residence was done very well by Ronnie and his men. Everything was cleaned up after the trees were cut down. My neighbors 50-60 foot tall tree was cut down piece by piece without doing any damage to the house, approximately 10 feet away, a shed, also about 10 feet away and a fence, which was about 5 feet away from the tree. The pricing was very reasonable and I will definitely use them again in the future."

Customers say: True professional

"I had been told by two other companies they would take care of my lawn and after 6 weeks of no grass being cut, I was feeling like I may need to buy a mower and do it myself. Semper Fi Landscaping and Lawn Care came out, quoted a fair price, and took care of my lawn the same day I first made contact. They have been taking care of my lawn every week since. Thanks :)"

"Agile Tree Services did an incredible job of cutting down two large trees in a very small space next to the house. This was done without damaging a brand new fence that was very close to the trees. I thought they were very professional and showed up on time compared to all the contractors that I have dealt with."

"Armando and his crew are extremely nice. He is a great climber, and they took great caution when both trimming and removing trees on our property! Unfortunately, a large, healthy branch on one tree was damaged irreparably when they felled another tree just next to it. But I would hire Armando again for sure!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Dead tree branches should be removed, because they can cause the tree to lose nutrients. They can also make the tree more susceptible to disease and pests. Removing dead and diseased branches can help the tree recover and increase the odds of saving a dying tree. Make sure to prune the tree correctly to avoid damaging it further.

It depends on the problem, the affected part of the tree, the risk of the pathogen spreading, and the overall health of your tree. Many diseases, fungal infections, and insect infestations can be successfully treated, especially if the issue is only in a few branches. However, if a disease is too widespread, too severe, too easily spread, or in the roots, the tree will likely need to be removed.

As a general rule, the protected area should be about 1½ times as wide as the canopy of the tree’s leaves. This digging measurement can vary by tree species and the age of the tree. Of course, that can be a lot of fencing for larger trees, which is why our first step is about making difficult decisions on which trees to save.

Opt for a barefoot tree. Pros harvest barefoot trees when they’re dormant (leafless). They shake the dirt from the root ball and pack it in moist material.

These trees can cost half as much as the trees at your local nursery, and you can buy them online—so there’s a much wider selection. Just make sure you keep your barefoot tree cool until you’re ready to plant it.

Make sure the tree roots soak around a day before you dig the tree up for the transplant. Keep the roots wet while the tree is above ground. After the transplant is finished, provide consistent water every day for the first month or so. You don’t want to overwater the tree, but you do want to keep the roots wet so they can thrive in their new environment.
