Robert and his crew did a outstanding job on my property clearing trees away from my garage. He even grinded the stumps for me and plus some extra work on top of that. I would recommend Thompson tree service anytime for some one who needs it done right. Great crew to talk to also.

I had Robert and his crew remove three very large red oak trees from my front yard. These trees were very close to my house and the power lines that run to my house went right up in between them. Robert and his crew did a FANTASTIC job of bringing these trees down! Nothing at all was damaged! They are an extremely professional group, work together very well with safety and efficiency. Robert is very easy to talk with, and the price he quotes you will be the price you will pay---no hidden cost. One of the things that really tickled me was that they racked and cleaned up my front yard after they were done---and I couldn't even tell they had been there! So if you need tree work done, this group of guys will NOT let you down! I highly recommend!

Very efficient

We had a large tree limb wedged between the trunk and lying across our deck in the air, which had landed hard on our roof with limbs everywhere. It was a stressful time for us, and one call to Robert and he was on his way all the way from Front Royal nearly 2 hours away the same day. Professional, kind, courteous and they did it for a very reasonable price. I do not think I could have found this type of excellent service from any company in Fairfax or Loudoun.

Robert was pleasure to deal with. He was very honest and upfront with his estimate and even removed a few extra things for us because his crew worked so efficiently! We had two large trees and a row of bushes removed from difficult locations. He also pruned a large oak tree, a couple of Crepe Myrtles and removed some extra bushes from the front yard. We are extremely happy with the work that was done and are in the process of getting another estimate for some additional work from Robert and his team. They were not only very professional but very friendly to my family. My small children were very interested in what was going on and the whole team was very patient and friendly with them for the duration of the work. We couldn't be happier. I only wish I was better at writing reviews!

I had used Robert Thompson Tree Service for tree work in the past. I was very impressed with the well maintained equipment and their ability to do tree work quickly, efficiently and safely. I had a 16' x 20' garden plot that I asked them about "rototilling"... My "gardening fever" was setting in and I wanted an estimate and time line. They gave me a reasonable answer and I arranged the service. I should have asked the method that they were going to use, as I assumed it would be a hand operated, 8 or 10 horsepower rototiller machine. When I saw the skid steer loader with a rototiller attachment being unloaded from their trailer, I did not take the opportunity to question them as to the size and weight of the equipment being appropriate for the current ground conditions, which was very moist with mostly clay soils. Needless to say, that machine really made a mess. Had this ground been drier, this would have been a quick and efficient job well done. I continue to recommend Robert Thompson Tree Service for tree related work, however I advise that homeowners use discretion when hiring this or any other business for a specific job which may fall outside of their normal specialty. When in doubt, always ask the company questions about equipment that will be used and ask to see references for previously completed jobs before hiring.

Had to wait a while for tree trimming because they are busy during november. But well worth the wait, as they seemed to know what they are doing.

Robert and his crew were great. They arrived on time and did the job at a very reasonable price. They were great to work with and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Robert brought down three trees and trimmed four others. He and his crew cleaned up all the branches and leaves and blew off as much of the sawdust as possible. When they were finished the place looked beautiful. The way he trimmed some very high trees, showed that he has a great eye for making things look natural. We have a lot of trees on our property and definitely plan on calling on him again.
