"It was excellent! The installer was punctual and had the work done in half the time that it would have taken me with a higher quality insulation than I would have purchased at a home improvement store. The actual cost was less expensive than if purchased at the store as well."

Welsh Construction is a family owned & operated Construction company in Lexington, VA. We specialize in design & remodeling, renovations, additions and historic restoration. Winner of the NARI Contractor of the Year award in 2010 & 2011 for our region.
"It was a fantastic experience! We got weekly reports with photographs of the work being done. At least once a week we talked with Owner, Tim Welsh or John Thomas, his Project Manager. We drove up only once in the middle of the four-month repair to have an on-ground meeting. Other than that, we relied totally on Tim Welsh or John Thomas to make recommendations and repairs. When you can trust, really trust, the providers of service it is an assurance that is worth everything. The Welsh Construction Company deserves to be recognized and appreciated for the extraordinary lengths that people went to in order to provide us with a beautiful, safe, and one-of-a-kind home."

Closets questions, answered by experts
The differences between a built-in closet and a walk-in aren’t that different from a built-in wardrobe and a walk-in closet. It’s fairly simple—a walk-in closet is a closet you can physically enter, stand in, and walk around in. A built-in (whether wardrobe or closet) is more akin to covered shelves installed into a recess in the wall. Another big difference is walk-in closets almost always have traditional full-size doors, while built-ins either have no doors or use sliding doors.
The time it takes to build a closet varies widely depending on the type of closet you want. A simple, reach-in custom closet can take less than a day to complete, while a walk-in closet may take a day or two, or even more, depending on its features. The pro you’re working with can give you the best time estimate depending on your project, but if you’re planning to DIY your closet, you’ll typically want to budget a bit more time.
The main difference between a closet and a wardrobe is that a closet is a separate room for general storage with its own door, and a wardrobe can be either built-in or freestanding place to store clothing. A walk-in or reach-in closet connected to a bedroom often serves the same purpose as a wardrobe by primarily storing clothes and shoes. A built-in wardrobe often does not have doors and leaves clothes exposed to view, whereas a standalone wardrobe usually has doors.
A standard walk-in closet has dimensions of 7 feet by 10 feet at a minimum and an average of 100 square feet. Remember that the dimensions of the closet aren’t necessarily the usable space. This means that a 100-square-foot walk-in closet with shelves on each wall and an island may only have a walkable area of 50 square feet or less. Make sure you consider the effect of additions when you plan the room—mockups are a great idea.
The features you choose for your laundry room to make it perfect depend largely on how you'll use the space, the size of your family, and their laundry needs. A perfect laundry room will have ample storage space, a clothes washer and dryer that are large enough for your needs and have good convenience features, and enough room to move around and work with enough countertop space to make laundry chores as easy as possible.
