"We contacted JES at their NOVA office in Manassas. We were visited by an outstanding JES structural engineer, Lance Ziolkowski. Lance answered all our questions, planned the structural improvements needed in our basement, prepared paperwork for county permits, and advised us throughout the process. When the permit was approved, a team came to inject a poly product to fill voids under our garage. A second team came to install 5 Intellijacks under the beams in the ceiling of our basement, and also raise the Intellijacks to provide better support for our house. When there was a minor mistake, JES s installation supervisor Manny Chavez, came to correct it. To ensure everything was completed correctly, Lance (the engineer) returned to measure and confirm that the Intellijacks were raised to the right height. Lance s guidance throughout the project made all the difference! We are pleased to know that our garage floor is now stabilized and that we now have a solid, strong foundation supporting our house. "I had a small but complicated, hard to access, and structurally essential repair job on a 60-year-old concrete deck attached to my 280-year-old Pennsylvania limestone farmhouse. I contacted several masons listed for my area on Home Advisor, and included Mr. Grady as a long shot -- I read about his expertise with historical structures and wished I had access to such an expert craftsman, but I didn't think he'd be interested in my teeny job and assumed I wouldn't be able to afford him anyway. He was the first one to return my call and to look at the job, and I thought his price was fair. I believe now it was way more than fair, considering the time he spent. He did extensive research, going over a structural engineer's report I had done previously on the deck and even examining the original architectural drawings and materials invoices from 1959. He showed up at least three times to complete the repair in stages, and has been back a half a dozen times since then to check the job -- and my location is not exactly in his neighborhood. He accepted only enough payment in advance to pay for lodging for himself and his assistant when they stayed nearby one night in order to be there early the next morning. He gave and continues to give free advice about preserving my stone house and patio. If you prod him a little, he might even share some of his personal philosophy, earned over a lifetime of work that is clearly more of an art form than a job to him. Overall, I'd say you can hire one of many competent contractors and get an adequate job, or you can hire Mr. Grady and get superior work by someone who cares about your property as much as you do."

"We've got American Home Shield. So that kinda varies but united air temp has done some work for us. Probably a couple years ago, I think so. I think its two years ago. They did work on our air conditioning. Well you know with American Home Shield you only pay $75.00. You sign up for a year , its like something you subscribe to.  You call and contact American Home Shield and they have somebody contact you whose in line with their services and agrees to work with them. You pay $75.00 and if its not done correctly for each visit but if they come back twice you don't pay again. Its like 400 and something a year. Its fabulous, its fabulous. If you need plumbing , H VAC, lighting, its amazing. Its worth every dime. And if they can't fix it they replace it at no charge unless you want to upgrade There are some different companies but even when we refinanced our house they had us, no we bought another house in Winchester for our son. And they made us have it in with our policy and they use American Home shield. its fabulous and you don't have to do the searching or anything, If you aren't happy you just tell American Home shield. One time United Air Temp tried to talk us into , they did some plumbing work too, and they were going try to talk us into replacing it with a cheap model. That isn't American Home Shield policy its with the same thing or you can pay to upgrade. Pay the balance of an upgrade. We use it all the time. When my son has issues with his house I tell him just call American Home Shield. They guarantee they will be out within 72 hrs but its usually within 24 hours. We contacted them last week about my son's air conditioning. They came out right away, they had to order something. They had to come back out and they did last Wednesday and they fixed it."

"I had Ameri-Dry Waterproofing come to my house to inspect a water problem we

were having in our basement.  We found the inspector, Barry, to be very

knowledgeable and very thorough in his inspection.  He explained everything

to us and answered all of our question, which we had many.  At the end of

the inspection we all sat down and went over our goals and expectations.  We settled on the

Ameri-Dry drain system and found the price to be fair.  The full warranty

was the clincher for us.  They installed the system in less than a week and

I must say the men were very courteous.  They worked very hard and finished

the job in under four days.  The foreman, Barry, ran his crew very efficiently.

Everyone had their job and they performed them to my full satisfaction.

Even though we had dust they cleaned up nicely. I highly recommend Ameri-Dry

and would hire them again if I ever had the need.

"For the most part the service by Phil Gould Construction was good. There were some areas that I had to go back and fix a few things myself. The carpentry work was good."

"We were very pleased with the finished product. Combs roofing did a lot of extra work. The front porch was so deteriorated
it had to be completely re-framed and attached higher in the roof so that in the future water would drain off of it better.
Much of the roof overhang and (soffit/facia)  wood all had to be replaced. Vents were put in the soffits. They also recommended that the insulation be replaced while the roof was off. This was subcontracted with a discount they were able to obtain. The chimney which was in bad shape was re-flashed and properly sealed. Existing gutter were readjusted. The owner was kept fully informed of all needed changes and recommendations  and cost adjustments. There were no surprises and all cost adjustments were discussed in detail and changes approved by the owner if wanted. The final cost shown includes the insulation and re-framing of the porch plus  added purchases such as stain. They were able to work around  the wet weather encountered. Mr. Combs was very knowledgeable and professional in his work."
