Acclaim Home Services is a locally owned and operated general contracting company that specializes in Patio/Decks and Fencing. We have less then 10 employees that offer a wide range of professional home services. We offer many different financing options and well as seasonal promotions. We treat our clients with respect and have a no pressure sales policy. Our goal is to gain your trust and business for life.
"I would recommend the Acclaim crew in a heartbeat for high value work from trustworthy, kind people. They did an absolutely fabulous job on our deck, at a fair price. The crew are real craftsmen with a proactive eye for detail and aesthetics. They had to deal with significant challenges along the way... and they got through it all, cheerfully and collaboratively despite one of the most challenging jobsites I am sure they have ever had to deal with. Toney and Rey were great partners to us, helping us make decisions and navigate these challenges, and working flexibly with us when we realized we needed to change the plan a bit. Any issues we spotted were quickly addressed. They went above and beyond on several occasions, adding thoughtful small upgrades and solutions for long term maintenance. They were careful to leave us happy and proud of our new deck and have been responsive with a few small warranty fixes too. I am proud of the deck and proud of them for their excellent work."

We are your project consultant. Alternatively, if you're just not sure what you'd like, tell us what the desired outcome of your project is (eg. more living space, open concept living, more natural light...) and let us advise you on possible solutions.
"I don’t think I’ve ever had such a shockingly bad experience with any company before in my life. These people make Comcast look like exemplars of customer service and competence. They were actually very responsive and helpful — up until the moment I signed the $25k contract, at which point they just disappeared. Between signing the contract and the start date for the renovations, I asked Nova Build Pros about the floors and doors we wanted literally seven times over the course of a month so that the materials would be ready by the time we got started. Nova Build Pros... literally just would not respond to my emails. Seven emails over a month, and they WOULD NOT respond to my questions!! Absurd. Finally I managed to get in touch with someone, but they just told me that we would talk about the materials when the renovations started and they wouldn't order them ahead of time. So the start date arrived, they had us move all our stuff out of the whole living and dining area plus the main bedroom, and they ripped out all our old floors. THEN they looked at the floors I wanted. Oops, they were back-ordered for two weeks! If only someone had brought this up earlier seven times! So at that point, we had no furniture and our house was torn up for no reason while we waited around for the floors to arrive (making it basically unlivable for weeks). Several other problems came up throughout the renovations that were pretty much exactly the same story — completely preventable, 100% caused by Nova Build Pros' incompetence and apathy. I'm writing this review a couple of months after it's all over, because I didn't want it to just be a hot-headed screed like I would have written in the thick of having to work with these people, but I still can’t get over how horrible our experience was. I wouldn't wish a renovation with Nova Build Pros on my worst enemy. I recommend running as far away from them as you possibly can."

Yes, you should confirm that the fencing installer you hire is insured before proceeding with the job. In most cases they do not need a specific fencing license, but rather a general contractor’s license. Hiring a licensed contractor protects you as a homeowner from fraud, poor work, and potential legal woes.

Fence installers typically charge by the hour when working on a project. Typically, you can expect to pay around $50 per hour for fence installation. Your project might take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours, depending on the length of your fence, overall project complexity, and fence type.
Answered by Angi Experts
The average cost to install a fence is between $1,760 and $4,500. These costs are what an average homeowner spends, but you might spend more or less depending on several factors. For a smaller DIY project, you might get away with spending as little as $430, or for a much larger project (like fencing for a 5-acre yard), you can spend in excess of $43,000.
Besides the size of your yard, other factors like your fence material, fence height, site prep, and additional fence features like gates all impact the overall cost. Additionally, the high cost of raw materials and manufacturing can all make the overall price tag higher.

The overall cost of a fence project depends on numerous factors, including the size of your yard, fence material, fence height, site preparation, and additional features like gates.
Answered by Carlos Martinez at CLM Home Improvements in New Carrollton, MD on 01/20/25
Specific pricing varies drastically based on material choices and options. Length of fence, height, and gate options all are contributing factors that will determine the overall cost of a fence. Typically a per foot price can be given that ranges from $20-$50 per linear foot for installations.
Answered by Todd Rosier at A Plus Fencing Solutions in Yakima, WA on 01/08/25
It all depends on the specifications of the fence, such as linear footage, gate installations, demolition and haul-off, and other factors.
Answered by Connor Andrews at Craftsman Fence, LLC in Kirkland, WA on 01/22/25
It depends on the type of fence, the scope of work, and other factors.

Before you hire a fence installer to build you the fence of your dreams for your yard, it’s important to set expectations up front by asking questions. Some questions to consider include:
Do you offer a warranty?
Do you offer financing or a payment plan?
Do you have references?
Do you have photos of previous work?
What type of fencing materials do you work with?

Do you have references?
Are all fasteners exterior (galvanized)?
How deep are you concreting the post?
What is the lowest maintenance fencing?
How will you deal with slopes?

Only some fences require a permit to build. Factors like where you live, how tall your fence will be, and where in your yard you plan to build all impact the need to have a permit. Below are a few examples of when a permit is needed; it’s always best to check with your fence installer to confirm if a permit is required.
Generally, if you live somewhere rural, like on a farm, there’s a good chance you will not need a fence permit. However, you will most likely need a permit if you live in a highly-populated area. In addition, many privacy fences in your backyard won’t need a permit if it is 6 feet or shorter. However, you might need a permit for anything over 3.5 feet in your front yard.

Any solid panels over 8 feet in height will require a permit, while a 2-foot lattice top on a 6-foot fence does not require a permit.
Answered by Connor Andrews at Craftsman Fence, LLC in Kirkland, WA on 01/22/25
Permit requirements can vary, so it's best to check with your county and municipality. Your fence contractor should be able to help confirm the specific requirements.

If you are digging in the ground, then yes. If it's just a repair with no digging, then no.
