"It has been over a year and the patios haven't cracked. My only complaint is that the concrete depth is not consistent through out. I understand that due to the slope of the yard it needing to be deeper, but there are portions that aren't 3" deep. The crew arrived, poured it and left,. They returned the next day to get their forms. The patio is flat, water runs in the right direction away from the house and it hasn't cracked. I would use them again in the future and you can't beat the price.

"The initial meeting went fine, the man who came out seemed very knowledgeable.  Once they began the work, they finished in a timely manner, although I did notice they hit concrete in one of the locations they were trying to dig.  When I came home after they were done (I had left the final check with my daughter to take care of - mistake), I noticed the 'repairs' to the bricks were extremely sloppy:  completely different color mortar, etc.  There was a lot going on at the moment so I did not contact them right away, and then I procrastinated further since some time had already gone by and this was cosmetic, but when I finally did contact them, I was told their brick person had been fired and they would fix the problem, and he would call back the next day.  He did not call, so I sent pictures a few days later and my husband called a month or two later, but they never contacted us.  Later I found out that they had not submitted the final inspection report to the county by the deadline so things could be properly closed out, but since I did have a copy, I was able to send that in.  By the way, the 'inspection' was based on a review of the 'drive logs.'  Now I have had additional cracks/sticking doors inside and I think there may be a new crack outside (I have not compared yet with my pictures taken earlier to verify it is new.)  I have not yet contacted them about this problem to see if they will respond.

"The worker that came out was very professional. He did an excellent job painting the exterior awnings on my home. He also removed a concrete fountain from my yard which was extremely heavy and a bit of an annoyance to me. I would definitely recommend this business and I choose to use them again in the future."

"I had received several estimates. I did not go with them because I thought their estimate was high and I did not think they were going to meet all my needs. They wanted to put a permanent seal all around my house. I wanted someone to come in and explain where the water was and why and how we could fix it. I had another company come out and do an excellent job at a quarter of a price. We have a geothermal system built specifically for our home and this sealant system was not going to work because it would release heat under our house and our system was not built to do that. They were professional and made a nice presentation. But I don't think they were concerned that in the long run it was for my best interest. He kinda disregarded me when I asked how it would work with a geothermal system. When I did research with my heating company they told me I chould not go with the Crawl Space System. But the person that came out was very professional and very nice."

"It went exactly as planned. We had our downstairs painted, walls & all doors & trim work. They came as scheduled & began working preparing the walls by filling all holes. The transformation was almost immediate! The cut in is very neat & clean. No tape needed. I appreciate the good quality of their work! Planning to use DMC for the 2nd floor remodel very soon! Thank you DMC!"

Concrete Leveling questions, answered by experts

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.

A slurry of cement, sand, and water is injected beneath the concrete to lift and stabilize it.

The average cost for mudjacking is around $1,200, though prices can range from $300 to $3,400. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $3 and $8, with an average of about $5 per square foot. The final cost depends on several factors, including the square footage of the concrete, the type of slab, its accessibility, whether it is load-bearing, and the type of material used to lift it. Generally, lifting a driveway, small patio, or sidewalk is less expensive than lifting a slab foundation or garage floor.

Most projects take 1-3 hours, with immediate usability after completion.

Mudjacking typically takes 24 to 72 hours (one to three days) to dry and cure completely before you can resume normal use. The exact time can vary depending on the size of the project. Because the slurry mixture contains cement, it must fully harden to ensure that added weight from walking, furniture, or vehicles won't shift the concrete slab. A professional contractor can advise you on when the surface is safe to use. For comparison, if you use polyjacking instead, the polyurethane foam can dry in just a few minutes, but it's best to wait about an hour before use.
