He also demanded payment 1/3 to start, 1/3 half way through and 1/3 at the end of the project. He painted over electrical plugs in some places instead of removing the wall plate. There were spots that were missed or painted too lightly.  One time he called my phone and I couldn't answer at the time. He didn't leave a message so I assumed he had dialed a wrong number and he never called me back until one day he showed up and wanted to know why I hadn't called him back. Very poor communication throughout the job. And there were times he didn't show up when he said he would."
