"Jose and Luis pruned weeded mowed and trimmed the front yard and side yard of the house as well as put landscape timbers along the driveway. Their pricing was I thought fair and they did a beautiful job! Even the neighbor complimented how the yard looked. They are very efficient and professional and made sure that details were clarified and double-checked. They did our backyard last month which was a huge undertaking and did a beautiful job there as well. We discovered them through my niece to help with my 90-year-old dad's yard and we will recommend them to everybody and we will only use them from now on. Wonderful! Wonderful job and they are so nice and professional and I can't praise them enough."

"Wilmar with Lion’s Tree Care and Landscaping did a great job! Amazing service! They did a massive cleanup of our front and back yards, including mowing, weeding, leaf removal and tree trimming. My husband is currently injured, and having them take over these chores was a lifesaver. Everything looks manicured and tidy. We will definitely be using them again!"

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

Plant a peach tree right at the end of your local dormancy period, likely at the very end of winter after the last frost when you can dig into the soft soil. Plan your backyard gardening season, including when planting peach trees, based on the frost schedule predicted in your local hardiness zone.

In most cases, buying plants from a local greenhouse or nursery is well worth the investment, even though they tend to be a bit more expensive than those at a home improvement store. Employees at nurseries are usually well-versed in gardening and understand how the climate in your area affects different plants. They can help you make selections based on your skill level and time commitment to your landscaping, and they can provide detailed care instructions and advice to help keep your plants alive and diagnose and treat issues like pest infestation and illness.

There are two main times of year to apply mulch: mid to late spring and late fall. Spreading mulch in mid to late spring helps protect new seedlings as the soil warms up. It's best to wait until temperatures are steady, as mulching too early in the spring can slow down the soil's warming process and hinder plant growth. Fall mulching is also beneficial, as it insulates the soil and helps regulate its temperature when the first frosts arrive.

The best time to plant a privet hedge is autumn, ideally October or early November. Fall is the best time to plant privet hedges because young plants need plenty of water to jump-start their growth, and it typically rains more during this season. However, you can also successfully plant privets in the spring.

There are many benefits to raised garden beds. It’s easier to control weeds and enrich the soil. The truth is, most top soil isn’t suitable for growing veggies, and you’ll need to make adjustments. It’s easier to adjust a controlled space than a large area.
