"Same team of folks at McCrea have been servicing our HVAC for years in two separate houses in the area. Decided to have my old builder-grade system replaced. They did a great job! Very professional crew! Good employee continuity leads to good results. Highly recommend!!!"

"OHA is my go to HVAC company and especially Brendan. Brendan is fantastic. Brendan ia always professional and customer centric. He provides great service by describing what he is doing at the visit and follows it up with a thorough detailed analysis of what he did and found."

"I recently hired AMJAIR LLC for HVAC installation and maintenance at my home, and the experience was highly professional from start to finish. Their team arrived on time, fully equipped, and took the time to assess my system before providing a clear explanation of the recommended service. The technicians were knowledgeable, courteous, and attentive to detail, ensuring that all equipment was installed correctly and functioning efficiently. Communication throughout the process was excellent, with updates on timing and cost provided upfront?there were no surprises. After the service, they conducted a thorough system check and offered practical tips for maintenance, which was a nice touch. The service felt personalized and reliable, reflecting a high level of expertise and customer care. I would confidently recommend AMJAIR LLC for anyone looking for dependable HVAC service, whether for installation, repair, or routine maintenance."

"Purchased the Angie's deal coupon for $250 for full HVAC cleaning and all vents and returns.  During cleaning they found some black mold and recommended deep cleaning for additional $250.  They showed us pics of where the mold and other dirty stuff was and we decided to have them clean it since I doubt duct cleaning was ever performed for this house.  We were satisfied with the result.  The cleaner was prompt and explained everything in detail.  We were satisfied with the service.

"I recently had SwiftPro conduct an inspection and assessment of my HVAC system, and am very satisfied with the service. Tyler and Moises were highly professional from start to finish, wearing boot covers to respect my home, and thoroughly explaining their findings. They were efficient, courteous, and took care to ensure everything was done to a high standard. I will likely be using them to replace my entire furnace and air conditioning unit. I highly recommend SwiftPro for anyone in need of trustworthy and quality HVAC services!"

"I have been dealing with two leaks in my house one from the roof and one from the HVAC system. The insurance company is dragging their feet. It started in November 20 24. It is now February 2025 and it’s still not fixed. Pro Clean has been a godsent if it was not for Pro Clean. I think I would’ve went crazy. They have stood beside me the whole time they have advocated for me with the insurance company and as a single woman they have helped me with contractors that I could trust if you need anything as far as mold, leaks anything like that you need to call this guy the owner Peter is the sweetest man you will ever meet. I cannot praise this company enough if you want me to give them a score from 1 to 10 it would be 1,000,000,000. If you’re a single lady and you need some stuff done in your house I guarantee you these guys are the best."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Yesh, heat pumps can easily cool homes when the weather reaches over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, just as powerful air conditioners can. The key is sizing the heat pump correctly for the size of your home and your climate. A local heat  pump professional can help you determine the right size and type for your home.

Indications of an HVAC problem include inconsistent heating or cooling throughout your home, unpredictable temperature changes, or inadequate air flow from vents. Abnormal sounds such as grinding, banging, or hissing, and unpleasant smells like mustiness or burning are also potential warning signs. A rise in energy costs without an increase in usage may also imply decreased efficiency. An HVAC system that frequently cycles on and off or cannot maintain a stable temperature is malfunctioning.

Running an air conditioner with mold is not safe because it can spread harmful mold spores throughout your home. Exposure to these spores can trigger various health problems, including respiratory issues, allergies, coughing, wheezing, sneezing, itchy eyes, and a sore throat. It may also aggravate asthma in household members. Continued exposure can increase the risk of more serious illnesses like sinus infections, pneumonia, and bronchitis. If you suspect mold in your air conditioner, you should stop using the system until it has been properly cleaned to avoid health risks and further contamination.

While "dry" mode on your AC can help reduce humidity levels to some extent, it may not be as effective as a dedicated dehumidifier, especially in areas with extremely high humidity or larger spaces. Dehumidifiers are specifically designed to remove moisture from the air more efficiently, making them a better choice for tackling persistent humidity issues.

Yes, you can build a deck over your outdoor HVAC unit, but you need to leave at least 5 feet of vertical clearance above the unit. If you don’t want your deck to be that high off the ground, you could build a floating deck in another part of your yard—again, as long as you leave at least 4 feet of horizontal space between the deck and your AC unit.
