"Owner responded to my Angie's List inquiry quickly. An appointment was scheduled on the first phone call, but due to rain the service was not performed. The owner did not call to cancel or reschedule. I called when they were a no show and left a voice mail asking for a return call to reschedule. I ended up calling them and talked to Mr Davis. We rescheduled for 8/5/14 between 12:00 and 1:00. I did call the night before to verify the appointment. Once we got the appointment scheduled things progressed as expected. The technician arrived within an hour of the scheduled time, but he did call to inform me that he was running a little late. Once he and his helper arrived, they located the hives, and went straight to work. Once the hive removal was complete, the tech showed me the hives and answered my questions in a professional manner. I would use this service again.

"He was great! He responded immediately - arrived at my home within and hour & a half - trapped the squirrel and took it away - it was amazing and well worth the money. I have already recommended him to a neighbor who is having the same problem. thanks again this is my 2nd experience with service magic and both of the suppliers have been top notch."

Animal Removal questions, answered by experts

The best deterrents for possums include securing trash cans with tight-fitting lids, removing outdoor food sources like pet food or fallen fruit, and trimming tree branches that provide access to your roof or an open window. Motion-activated lights or sprinklers can also startle and discourage them from visiting. Additionally, you can take advantage of their strong sense of smell by using garlic, onion, or commercial possum repellents to keep them off your property.

You know if you have a skunk hole if you can smell the skunk’s musk. Skunks have a strong odor even when they aren’t spraying due to threats, and you may smell it coming from under a building or another hiding spot, such as a shrub or wood pile. They may also dig shallow holes around a lawn in search of food.

Iguanas cause a variety of damage to properties and pose other dangers. Their tunnels can collapse seawalls and foundations. They destroy native plants, trees, gardens, and agriculture. They compete with native animals for food. Their droppings, left almost anywhere, can transmit salmonella which is especially dangerous to vulnerable groups like children and the elderly.

Once the animals and their young are out of the house, remove the nest and locate any entry points. Some may be difficult to find because some animals can fit through very small holes. Once you’ve located as many entry points as possible, use materials such as metal or masonry to block off the entry. Ideally, you should choose materials that most animals cannot chew through. Create a one-way door or flap to allow animals to leave but not return. Additional methods include using repellants designed to make an area unappealing to the types of animals that find your home so inviting.

While foxes may find them unpleasant, mothballs are not an effective deterrent. Additionally, mothballs are toxic for humans and animals and should never be used outside. They contain naphthalene or paradichlorobenzene, which are very harmful to the environment. Use safer, more reliable deterrents, or hire a professional wildlife control expert.
