My grandmother's kitchen ceiling suffered severe earthquake damage last Fall. We engaged TSmith Contracting after the owner's prompt response to our inquiry and reasonable price estimate. Our experience with Tory Smith, the owner, and his team was top-notch. The team got to work right away, and Mr. Smith 'held our hand' through the entire process; explaining in detail the work that needed to be done, and ensuring that we were happy with the service we were receiving. When additional issues were found after the removal of the ceiling, we were pleasantly surprised that the additional work led to only incremental costs.

Tory was A+ from start to finish.
We needed major support beams, joists, posts, and flooring to be replaced in our 1861 carriage house. He also replaced and rebuilt our windows (handcrafted to custom fit), and repointed the brick on one side of the carriage house. Tory did MORE than we asked him to do for a lot less than the competing bids. He and his subs were exceptionally pleasant and professional. He checked on the projects daily and was always available to provide updates and answer questions. The very first day Tory was on the job, he saw an open drain pipe, picked up a cover from Lowes, and fixed it free of charge. I know it didn't cost much, but I mention this because Tory appears to me to be the kind of guy who genuinely enjoys helping people as apposed to just being out there to make money. That gets a lot of mileage with me, and I would definitely recommend Tory for your future needs.

We met with the salesman and the contractor initially to discuss the possibility of building a sunroom. After the price was negotiated the contractor contacted us with the plans from the engineer. There was some concern over a "support beam" that was in the center of the proposed room and might not be able to be moved. He worked out the details with the engineer to ensure proper support of the structure, but meeting our request to remove the beam. As time for construction moved closer, he contacted us to inform us weekly of the progress and ordering and delivery of materials. Once the materials were delivered he contacted us with a start date. The project was started as planned and the work moved very quickly. This entire construction project was the most pleasant project I have ever worked on with a contractor. We have had 4 houses built and 2 pools installed over the last 30 years and I have never had anything go as smoothly as this. I think one of the things that made this such a pleasant experience is he communicated with us every step of the way and followed through with what he said he would do.

Bottom Line Up Front: I was very satisfied with the service,product, and price. My new Sunroom looks great. I contacted Tory Smith (TSmith LLC) and arranged a visit to my home to discuss the possibility of adding a Sun Room to my home. Tory was on time and provided a detail description of Crown Sunrooms construction and materials. He did a fine job of finding out what we wanted and what our concerns were. Once he found out what we wanted, he designed a sunroom to meet our needs and provided a price within our budget. There was no "hard sell" and my wife and I felt very comfortable with the product and price. Once we agreed on the size and price, Tory provided a detail time line for ordering the materail, acquiring the permits, delivery of the materials, construction, and final "walk through". Tory met all time lines. He was in constant contact with us throughout the construction and was present whenever he had anyone on the job. Tory was very responsive to any questions and concerns. I would recommend TSmith LLC to my family and friends. Several of my family and friends have requested contact information because they like our new Sunroom and are considering calling TSmith LLC to get a price on building one for them.

I can strongly recommend Tory Smith as a contractor for your next project. My confidence in his work is based on a major rennovation of our older house, with the work spanning several months in the Winter and Spring of 2010. Part of our house dated back to the 1800s, and the support and foundation needed major restoration. The tricky part of our project was that the exact cost could not be determined until much of the old building was removed. In other words, no one could be sure how much we would have to replace until we removed enough plaster, wall board, floors, and insulation, to give us a good look. I met with several other contractors before I decided to hire Tory. Tory was different from the others by showing more willingness and patience to work with us to find solutions to our special situation. When “mid-stream” adjustments were needed he still made an effort to help us save money. I am able to rate his work because I have a lot of experience with contractors. We have two houses and have been involved in at least 10 moderate-to-large projects over the years. Tory Smith will work with you to find the best compromise of cost and quality. No major problems occurred in our work, and the only rough spots were related to sub-contractors. In all cases, Tory sided with the homeowner and the issue was resolved quickly to our satisfaction. Our new large kitchen / dining / storage area is wonderful...we love it.

All the work was done from start to finish and I was kept abreast of the situation the entire time.
