"Excellent. Dennis and his crew were professional and did not take long to start and complete the job. The four doors were professionally installed and have made my home a safer and more valuable asset. The doors are now plumb and seal to prevent energy loss in summer and winter months. Would definitely hire again."

"I had a horrible problem with a sink that was clogged, I mean really clogged. I didn't know who to call and then I remembered Angi's List and someone called back immediately. I was so worried I wouldn't get anyone to answer after hours, but Miller's Plumbing & Repairs came to the rescue. Mr. Miller (Steve) has over 40 years of experience, and it showed. He worked so hard on the stubborn clog and would not stop until it drained down quickly. I think someone else would not have finished because it was a tough job, but Steve did and I will definitely give his name to my friends who complain about not being able to find a plumber that will even answer the phone! Thank you Miller's Plumbing & Repairs for doing such a great job for my home."

"Excellent work. Slow response. Prices average.  As the other reviews say, nice guy, but not quick and slow to respond to email. I was unhappy when the assistant wouldn't let me talk to him with a question I had; but I ended up going forward anyway and he did good work.

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

An underground water leak will most likely show signs of water damage in the basement. If you have a concrete foundation, look for frizzle lines and discoloration on the walls. Sometimes, you may be able to feel the moisture with direct touch. Also, if your basement smells musty or moldy, you might have an underground water leak that’s causing mold to form.

While frozen pipes will eventually thaw on their own as temperatures rise, it is not safe to let this happen unattended. As the ice blockage melts, water can become trapped, building up extreme pressure within the pipe. This pressure can cause the pipe to burst, leading to severe water damage, costly leaks, and serious damage to your plumbing system. It is best to handle frozen pipes as quickly as possible. If you do not see any visible damage, you can try to slowly warm the pipes by increasing warm air circulation or applying warm towels. However, if you spot any leaks or damage, you should call a plumber immediately. The best course of action is always to take preventative measures to stop pipes from freezing.

An AC drip pan may stop draining if there’s a clog where the drip pan connects to the drain line. Clogs can form from a lack of cleaning or from rust or corrosion buildup. Cleaning the drip pan at least once per month lowers the chances of debris clogging the drain line.

Yes, flushing a clogged toilet can make it overflow. While flushing the toilet may push enough pressure through the system to dislodge the clog, this is unlikely. Your best bet is to use a plunger and hope the suction can break up whatever is blocking the pipe. If this doesn’t work, use a plumbing auger or call a pro to help.

No, you should not see water in a sewer cleanout. If you do, it could indicate that you have a block or leak in your main sewer line—which can cause sewage to back up inside your home and potentially flood your yard. Your best bet is to call a local sewer cleaner if you notice any water or sewage around your cleanout.
