"It's easy to get nervous when hiring somebody to fix something that you have no idea how to fix, personally. There's always the fear that you might get taken to the cleaners with unnecessary repairs. This was never an issue with Jeff. He helped explain a few of our concerns about basement leaks and gave us DIY, cost-effective solutions when he could. He let us know which projects he could do and which were not his specialty. Although we didn't end up needing his help for this problem, his honesty and expertise were very much appreciated. We'll be recommending him to neighbors and friends."

"We hired Lux Renovations (Owens Corning) to do our basement in early February 2022, with the work completed at the end of June. In general, we were very pleased with the process working with the company. We reached out to approximately 8 contractors to receive quotes on the work, and Lux was far and above the most responsive - we received a call from their sales office same day is putting in an inquiry (over Christmas) and had an in-home appointment the next week. All communication was timely and professional. We entered contract in early February for Lux to complete our basement, with an expected completion date at the end of July 2022. My wife and I were fairly persistent about bringing the install date forward as we were expecting a second child in August. Once we let the sales office know why we wanted to move the install date forward, they moved us to "first available installer" and we were scheduled for our basement remodel to start in June. The entire process took 2.5 weeks, with an installer at our house every day during the period excepting one day and Sundays. Luis was our installer, and he was exceptional to deal with - very easy, answered all of our questions, worked exceptionally hard, and the quality of his work was great. We had a fairly simple install - Lux created one large room in our basement with an under-stairs closet and redid the stairs. Overall we are exceptionally happy with the quality of the basement build-out and the attention to detail. The OC wallboard can dimple if you press in to it too hard/knock furniture against it, and obviously Lux would need to be back out for repairs, so it is best to be a bit more careful with the walls than the standard drywall. Overall, we found the install and quality of the output to be exceptional. We were also really pleased with the level of communication from the company on scheduling, processing, etc. We found the pricing to be high but in line with competitors and reputable general contractors we got quotes from. If Lux is 5-10% more expensive than another company, it's worth it for the install speed and limited "contractor hassle." You also have the peace of mind with there being a fixed rather than variable cost for the project - no surprise bills. Overall, we would highly recommend Lux as a remodeler."

"Mr. Shifflet, the plumber, was great to work with. Very professional but also easy to talk to and showed us what he was doing every step of the way. He kwas able to not only address our original issue, but also identified two others. He fixed one, but alas, we need a new dishwasher to address the leak.
Cost was a little on the high side in my opinion. The charge for the actual repairs was reasonable, but just the charge for the service call was a little steep. The price you pay for an expert.

"Outstanding Walk-In Shower Installation and Attention to Detail We recently had our jetted bathtub removed and replaced with a beautiful, high quality walk-in shower, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. From start to finish, Team member, John, demonstrated professionalism, skill, and attention to detail. John handled the demolition and removal of the tub efficiently, keeping the area clean everyday and minimizing disruption. The new walk-in shower was installed with excellent craftsmanship — the walls, shower tray, and fixtures are high-quality, and the overall job turned out exactly as we had hoped. Also, what impressed us was Don’s follow-through on the punch list. The few items we brought up — no matter how small — were addressed promptly and thoroughly. "Good people to work with, professional in every way. Normally when we received 2" of rain water would start entering the basement. When we receive 3" the basement floor would be covered. Two days after installing their system our area received 8.5" of rain and our basement remained dry, not a drop got in the house. These guys know what they are doing."
