Excellent work done on our steps… Railings were custom made by Jeff….He was very professional and honest and the job was done in a timely matter and the price was reasonable. I would highly recommend him for any jobs with making custom made railings and any kind of concrete work.

Jeff was prompt in returning the initial call. He was knowledgeable about how to resolve the problem and was careful to make sure all work was to our satisfaction. Final cost was very close to his estimate.

Our chimney had a serious water leak into the fireplace, and none of the local chimney folks seemed to know how to deal with it. But Jeff came by, quickly diagnosed the problem, took apart the top of our chimney, and put it back together again. We've had several heavy rains since and ... no leaks! Jeff was responsible, friendly, and professional. He left the site clean of the debris, and with a chimney that looks better from the outside than it did before. We would definitely use him again for other masonry work.

J&D Masonry transformed our aging front entry porch, two sets of steps, and serpentine walkway from flagstone/concrete to a gorgeous all-brick showcase. He also designed, fabricated and installed new iron railing pairs for the porch and both step sets, having taken meticulous angle measurements of the old ones. The custom handrails and pickets are an exhibit of top notch welding and are anchored quite securely. In its precision and detail, the brickwork has been described by other contractors as seriously impressive. Neighbors and passersby have stopped by to give their compliments, some asking for his contact information. In the beginning, he carefully assessed and shared his vision of the finished work, and the estimated costs. In the end, the bill was below his estimate. You’ll find none better to deal with as well. Jeff is personable, hardworking, and true to his word.

His work was excellent! There were rain delays completely out of his control and he stayed with the job until it was completely done. I really feel like Jeff went above and beyond to get the job done and to leave the yard looking BETTER than it did when he started! I DO plan to hire him again! Highly recommend!

Everything went really well. I had some additional work done that needed to be done last minute and they were really obliging and understanding. Really great people to work with. His Subcontractor earth moving guy was also excellent and worked hand in hand with Jeff and his crew. He ended up doing a driveway for me in addition to the building.

Jeff's work was great. Wall built and tied in with existing wall. They did a very good job of cleaning up after the job was completed. Definitely would use him again.

So pleased and impressed with the job Jeff and his crew did. The brickwork matches beautifully and the new stone wall makes a stunning focal point. The crew was pleasant to work with, always cleaned up at the end of the day, and checked every step of the way to make sure the job fit with our vision. They take great pride and are very skilled at their craft. Would hire again in a heartbeat!

The job presented a few surprises, but Jeff addressed the problems, and worked with us to find good solutions based on his experience in the field. Overall, the structure was built extremely well, and much much stronger than what was replaced, or what I thought was planned. Jeff is a pleasure to work with, and I would recommend his company for any of your masonry work. I will be using him again in the future.

Jeff came out quickly after receiving our call to give us an estimate. It took a while to get the job started because of previously scheduled chimney cap replacements. Jeff was getting ready to go on vacation so he sent a couple of fellows who work for him. They came as scheduled, were very (but not overly) friendly and respectful. They worked hard and we're careful making the slab - asking questions about how we would like certain things and then did it. A super job was done which solved our water problems. Thank you!

I needed to replace a large retaining wall which was protecting an outside stairway to my basement. The existing wall had gotten to the point where the wall was in danger of imminent collapse. Jeff Dame of J&D Masonry promptly returned my call for an estimate, showed up on time, and scheduled the work to be done promptly. I was very pleased with his workmanship and professionalism. He kept me well informed of each step in the process and promptly returned my phone calls, if I had a question. Although we did not discuss some of the construction details in advance, the wall he built was first rate---cinder block, poured concrete, rebar reinforcement. He also made several aesthetic upgrades to the wall he replaced. He even placed stucco on another wall that he did not replace, so it would match perfectly. When he was finished, the worksite was cleaned up to the point that it looked like he had never been there. Throughout the entire process he was pleasant to talk with and unhurried. His pricing was very reasonable and well below another estimate I had gotten. I do not think anyone else could have accomplished a better end result. In a day where many settle for "good enough" Jeff only settles for doing the job right the first time.

They were always here on time, always cleaned up after a work day and their work is impeccable.  Once the work was completed,  a number of neighbors and just people passing down the street stopped to ask who built the wall and get contact information.

Jeff did a great job and is a great mason.  Jeff was responsive to my inquiries and was easy to work with.  I am very pleased with the end result and have received several compliments from my neighbors already.

We've dealt with Jeff twice.  Last fall (2015)  he came by to give an estimate and offer advice on a chimney that was in need of repair. We ended up going a route where we didn't need his services but were very satisfied with the interaction.  This spring we had Jeff put a concrete block retaining wall in the cellar of our house.  The cellar had been dug out after the original construction of house and the original wall was in need of additional support ( after 65 plus years).  He also capped a second house chimney that use to provide for the kitchen and filled a previously installed concrete block retaining wall in the cellar. We have been very satisfied with the work Jeff  has done, would use him again if needed and would recommend his services to others that have need of masonry work.

A little forgetful after speaking with him a few times regarding the job.

Once we got in contact, came to the house quickly and removed the brick without any damage to the surrounding areas while I was gone on vacation.  No complaints with the work done.
