"Stacys Cleaning Service did a Professional Job. The company was great. The Staff was professional and my wife and I are very pleased with the work they did. It was a Move In job. The windows and all the cleaning they did was superb. I would certainly recommend them to everyone."

"Nicolle has done painting, shelf installation, picture hanging, and all those little projects around the house for me. Every job has been done with so much care and attention to detail, and everything always looks perfect when she’s finished. My husband is handy, but sometimes I need someone who is extra precise and detail-oriented — especially for things like hanging shelves and artwork evenly or getting clean paint lines. She absolutely delivers every time. Professional, reliable, and meticulous. Highly recommend!"

"i have been going to Bills (proprietor) leather cleaners for over ten years.    Bill takes ultimate care in making sure he can do the best in removing any stains or water spots in my leather and or suede goods.  i have brought in purses, jackets, dresses both in leather and suede and it has always come back as PERFECT.   Bill will even call you when he receives the item to discuss the spots, his assessment  of what he can do to repair it and bring it back to new.  Worth EVERY DIME (and its reasonable) to see your item brand new again !! i have even fed ex"d items to him so he can repair for i trust no one else. "

Upholstering questions, answered by experts

Before starting upholstering in Charlottesville, measure doorways and staircases to ensure furniture fits through tight spaces, especially in older homes. Select durable fabrics that suit Virginia’s climate, and consult local upholstery professionals for recommendations. Check for any HOA guidelines that might affect your project. If restoring antiques, allow extra time for potential repairs. Careful planning and choosing the right materials help prevent unexpected delays or complications.

Helpful?

Upholstering projects in Charlottesville provide immediate benefits like refreshed style and improved comfort, tailored to both historic and modern homes. Over time, quality upholstery resists Virginia’s humidity, helping preserve cherished pieces and reducing the need for replacements. Investing in professional custom upholstery also supports sustainability by extending furniture life, while maintaining your home’s unique character and enhancing its overall appeal for years to come.

Helpful?

Upholstered furniture in Charlottesville benefits from regular vacuuming with an upholstery attachment to remove dust and allergens. Rotate cushions monthly for even wear, and keep humidity levels between 30-50% to prevent mold growth. Schedule professional cleaning every six months, especially if you live near wooded or rural areas. Protect pieces from direct sunlight to prevent fading, and address spills promptly to maintain your upholstery’s appearance and durability.

Helpful?

Completing upholstering projects in Charlottesville can enhance your home’s marketability, especially in neighborhoods known for historic charm. Updated upholstery and custom furniture restoration help your home stand out during showings, making living spaces feel more inviting and well-maintained. Buyers in Charlottesville often appreciate quality craftsmanship, so refreshed pieces can contribute to a positive first impression and potentially increase your property’s resale appeal.

Helpful?

In Charlottesville, unexpected costs during upholstering projects can arise from discovering hidden frame or spring damage, especially in older or antique furniture. Specialty fabrics or custom upholstery materials may require additional shipping time. Rural locations might incur extra delivery or handling fees. If moisture damage is found, mold remediation could be necessary. Consulting with furniture restoration experts early can help anticipate and minimize these surprises.
