"Newbys did a poor job . Very unprofessional and not responsive to our concerns. We had the spray our gravel areas for weed control. Their tech person over sprayed their product on our stucco siding as high as 3 feet up. We called him after he left and he told us to just spray it off with our house. That's not my job . A year later I can still see where some of the overspray was. They contacted me about doing our property this year and I explained our experience. She told me the owner would call me back about my concerns. He never did. I would not recommend them for any work."

Although raccoons aren’t particularly picky regarding food, certain sounds, metals, and smells bother them. You can place these items around your home to keep raccoons away:

  • Place wire mesh screens around and underneath decks and porches to prevent raccoons from nesting.

You can find anti-rat sprays in most home department stores that may be worth a try. Spray them along fences and in areas where you don’t want rats to go (like around decks) and they may think twice before approaching.
