"I needed a multi-skilled handyman to get my bathroom back in working order after a mold remediation. Joseph called me a week before the project to ask for details, gave me a list of supplies to get, and communicated with me on every step of the project. Not only did he complete the project in 3 days (2 days under my expected timeline), he also completed it $900 UNDER the quoted price. Hes honest, hard working, and fair. Joseph & Cranston will be my go-to handyman service from here on out! (attached: Before & after pics of bathroom)"

"David and crew were great! Would highly recommend them. Did ceiling ship lap and lots of crown molding. One of the few contractors that actually communicates, very refreshing. Excellent workmanship. I paid exactly what he bid, no last minute pricing changes. Will hire again."

"Amy Weaver is exceptional at her ability to take a client’s needs, ideas and design dreams and turn them into something better than I could ever have imagined. She is extremely patient and professional. Home Depot is lucky to have her on their team. She even sold us on another flooring project Home Depot quoted, that we weren’t entirely sold on, by explaining their proposal more thoroughly and suggesting solutions to our objections. Amy earned our respect and inspired several future projects with Home Depot. I only hope she will be recognized for going so far above and beyond. Thank you Amy!!"

Closets questions, answered by experts

There are a few reasons custom closets are expensive: materials used, the luxury factor, and time to build. The people who can afford custom closets are those who can afford increased rates, and construction workers and contractors know this and charge accordingly. The time to build custom closets is substantial, especially if expensive material is being used or intricate details (like carved wood) are added to the project.

Costs depend on material, customization level, and additional features like lighting or sliding doors.

When storing your clothes long-term, first consider the container's breathability. While plastic bags, cardboard boxes, or vacuum sealing may be great options for short-term storage, they won’t help your clothes hold up in the long term. Breathable plastic boxes and fabric bags help with airflow, prevent mold or mildew from building up, and allow proper airflow.

Costs depend on material type, size, and additional features like lighting or sliding doors.

The time it takes to build a closet varies widely depending on the project's size, complexity, and level of customization. On average, construction can take anywhere from a few days to two weeks.

A simple reach-in closet might be completed in less than a day, while a more complex walk-in closet could take one to two days or more. A typical project often falls in the 2-to-5-day range. However, a large, highly customized walk-in closet that requires structural changes, like moving a load-bearing wall, will take significantly longer.

A professional contractor can provide the most accurate time estimate for your specific project. If you are planning a DIY build, it is best to budget additional time.
