Afterwards, he applied a protective coating. The second chimney only needed some mortar and crack repair, both excellently done, then coated as well. John's quality of work and attention to detail, means that these chimneys look better than before and are good for another 70 years. John's work is immediately and obviously better than the incompetent or unskilled person claiming to be a mason who "repaired" the main chimney 12-15 years ago. "
