"Israel and his coworker installed 2 ceiling fans, provided a new outlet, installed a ring doorbell and routed some coax. He was available faster than I expected and was very professional and thorough. The price was very good and I am very happy with the work - I highly recommend them!"

"I received a call from them to talk about my project to install an electric vehicle charging outlet at 10:45 am. They came to my home at 12:30 to give a bid. The bid was very reasonable, did the work immediately and was done by 3:30 that afternoon. Amazing job very well-done, very professional. Will definitely use them again, and will recommend them to anyone!"

Small jobs welcome

"I bought my grandmother's home that was built in the 60's with absolutely no living room lighting. Needless to say Cole came over to give me a bid and was absolutely reasonable with it. Adding 6 lights and switches to my living room and a dining room light (the previous light was off center). After he finished installing my living room lights he addressed a concern of mine in my electrical panel which was that my dryer and AC wires were double tapped, causing them to overload the breaker anytime I ran both at the same time. Cole took care of me without any complaint. He is very respectful, knowledgeable, and cleans up after himself with taking proper precautions by covering my floors before beginning work. I will have him do ANY of my electrical work (again being an older home I need some more updating) at my house or I will recommend him to anyone that needs it."

"Cubix Power did a great job helping me run some wire for our game room. We wanted some extra power for our gaming PCs and Ethernet cables ran so we could be directly plugged into our fiber service. Insanely clean job, priced very good and fast! I’ll be hiring them for our basement when we finish it in the future. Thank you guys!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

The doorbell installation cost depends on which and how many parts you need to replace. A new transformer is the least expensive replacement and falls between $20 and $35, plus the cost of hiring an electrician to install it, which can be between $150 and $250. Replacing your entire doorbell system can cost $250 to $400.

Typically, a local home energy auditor is responsible for performing energy audits. A home energy auditor will conduct one of three energy audits designed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) to determine the energy efficiency of your home. The auditor often provides analysis that can help guide changes and improvements to your home for better energy efficiency, giving recommendations as necessary.

You can certainly talk with electricians about pricing, but the pro has the first and last word on what they charge. If you feel like a quote is too expensive, you can discuss the quotes that other electricians have made and see if they’ll lower their estimate in return. Or you may be able to talk about specific parts of the estimate and how they can be changed.

Grounding is an essential part of installing an electric fence. Without grounding, the electrical circuit will be incomplete. That means the fence won’t work and will fail at delivering shocks upon impact. Even grounding the fence improperly can cause faulty shocks, if any. To ground the fence, you will need to use ground rods, ideally made from copper or galvanized metal, that are at least 4 feet high, for best results.

The life expectancy of a circuit breaker is 30 to 40 years. However, how long your circuit breaker lasts depends on the condition of your electrical equipment, the amperage, your electrical consumption, and more. A breaker box that frequently trips from overload will last much shorter than a breaker box with the proper amperage for the number of devices and appliances in use. If your circuit breaker trips frequently, and you have also increased your electrical consumption, it may be worth upgrading your electrical panel to extend your electrical system’s lifespan—and save you the hassle of frequent power trips.
