"Israel and his coworker installed 2 ceiling fans, provided a new outlet, installed a ring doorbell and routed some coax. He was available faster than I expected and was very professional and thorough. The price was very good and I am very happy with the work - I highly recommend them!"

"I received a call from them to talk about my project to install an electric vehicle charging outlet at 10:45 am. They came to my home at 12:30 to give a bid. The bid was very reasonable, did the work immediately and was done by 3:30 that afternoon. Amazing job very well-done, very professional. Will definitely use them again, and will recommend them to anyone!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

There are a few telltale signs that it’s time for a replacement. You should consider an upgrade if:

  • Your panel is over 25 years old

  • You’re adding a new electrical system

  • Your current system doesn’t offer the power you need

  • Your home is a jungle of power strips

An air conditioner’s watt usage depends on multiple factors, including the type of AC unit, its size, and how often you use it. With that said, most central air conditioners consume between 3,000 and 3,500 watts. Meanwhile, window AC units use 900 to 1,400 watts, and portable air conditioners consume 2,900 to 4,100 watts.

You can certainly talk with electricians about pricing, but the pro has the first and last word on what they charge. If you feel like a quote is too expensive, you can discuss the quotes that other electricians have made and see if they’ll lower their estimate in return. Or you may be able to talk about specific parts of the estimate and how they can be changed.

A C-wire connects your thermostat to your household heating and cooling system to provide continuous 24V power. The furnace's transformer converts household electrical current into this low-voltage power to operate the HVAC system's circuitry. In most configurations, the C-wire connects to the terminals labeled "C" on both the furnace's low-voltage terminal block and the thermostat. In some cases, if a dedicated C terminal is unavailable, the C-wire can be connected to the "G" (fan) terminal at the furnace.

Whether you need electrical upgrades depends on the electronics your game room includes. If your game room will have high-powered electronics, arcade machines, or a home theater, you may need to upgrade your electrical panel or add dedicated circuits. An electrician can assess your current system and provide an estimate for any necessary upgrades.
