✨ Hi everyone! ✨\n\nI’m Mariah Cawelti, a mom of amazing kids, a nursing student, and the owner of this small cleaning business based in Ogden, Utah.\n\nLife is definitely busy, but cleaning has always been something I genuinely enjoy. Larkin HVAC will be my go-to company from now on whenever I have heating or ac issues! They are competent, capable and honest.  Jesse and Anthony are both excellent technicians, and I don't give those compliments lightly. What's most important is I felt that I could trust their assessments, advice and recommendations. A company is only as good as the repairmen who work for them, so good job Larkin HVAC, as both of these men deserve outstanding kudos!

We have an old 2 story home with serious temperature differences from the basement to the main level to the second story.  The venting is the issue, but short of ripping out walls, what do you do? Jesse did diagnostics and determined it would help to open up the throat of the furnace to help with return air. Anthony did excellent vent workmanship while Jesse installed a much better thermostat, fishing wire through the walls from the main level to the basement; he also re-routed a vent to improve airflow upstairs.  I have serious asthma and though I'd had the vents cleaned previously, Jesse and Anthony alerted me to the large amount of debris in my vents (meaning the cleaning company didn't do what they said they did!). When I couldn't find anyone else I could trust, even though Larkin doesn't clean vents, Anthony came back out and did an excellent job. He also let me know my humidifier wasn't working properly and changed the filter.

Anthony and Jesse treated my home like their own. They were highly professional, nice, tidy and solutions-oriented.  I am so grateful to them and Larkin will be my go-to heating and cooling company from now on. Thanks so much, Anthony and Jesse!

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

Yes, it’s possible to install a wood-burning stove through the wall. The process is similar to venting the stove through the ceiling, but you’ll need to be careful of electrical wiring, plumbing, studs, and other potential obstructions in your walls. If you’re not comfortable with this type of work, call a professional who installs wood-burning stoves.

They provide excellent heat retention and durability and add a classic aesthetic to a home.

Yes, gas fireplaces can increase your home's value by as much as 12%. They are a sought-after feature because they burn cleaner, provide more warmth, and are more convenient than wood-burning fireplaces. Modern gas inserts can also provide the traditional aesthetic appeal that buyers like. To ensure the highest return on investment, perform regular maintenance and schedule annual professional inspections.

If you have a chimney, you need a flue or chimney cap. The right covering keeps rain, debris, and animals from getting into your flue or chimney and causing damage. A flue or chimney cap also provides fire protection. The mesh insert around the cap keeps sparks from flying out of the chimney and igniting leaves and other materials.

To maintain a stove, clean the stove, chimney, or vent regularly. You should also use seasoned wood or pellets. Schedule an annual professional inspection to ensure safety.
