"The fellows were very efficient and thorough in their removal. Very friendly, accommodating and down-to-earth. They were very professional with reasonable price offer for the work they did. Mike was outstanding as he offered to haul a few other items I hadn't considered. I'd hire them again!"

"Would hire this company again in the future. We are out of state and had to arrange this for a specific day to help my parents clean out some of their house things. I have checked out 10 other companies. Jeff was very responsive and their quote included delivery, pick up and disposal. His son dropped off the dumpster with placing protective wood on the cement to protect it. Very happy with their service and will use them again."

"They called and arrived to removed my disgusting big chest freezer all within 2 hours! They were super polite I was honestly embarrassed about the condition of the freezer and it having meat that had frozen to the bottom. Trying to move and clean out everything after a divorce it was such a stress removed not having to deal with the freezer and again they were so understanding and weren't fazed by the job or the preschooler running around. I highly recommend their service and will definitely use them again next time I need anything removed."

Dumpster Service questions, answered by experts

Finding the right dumpster rental company for your needs requires interviewing companies to ask about rental timelines, costs, and weight limits. Here are some questions you can ask a dumpster rental company you’re considering:

  • How long are your standard rental contracts? Can I extend it?

  • What is the maximum weight your dumpsters can hold?

  • Does the rental include dumping fees?

  • Do I need a permit, and will you pull it for me?

  • Will you protect my driveway from damage?

To calculate how many dumpsters you need for your disposal project, take a close look at the number of items you’ll be disposing of and estimate or measure the total in cubic yards. From there, you can have the dumpster rental company inform you of their dumpsters’ capacities to determine how many you need.

Choosing a junk disposal method begins with considering what kind of junk you’re getting rid of. If it’s hazardous waste, you’ll be more limited in your options and will either need to haul it to a dedicated disposal facility yourself or find a junk removal company that works with hazardous materials. If it’s general waste and mostly consists of small items, renting a dumpster is a great way to save money if you and some friends can move the junk into the dumpster yourselves. To save time and energy, though, hiring a junk hauler is the best option.

One of the best ways to reduce packaging waste is to purchase materials that are made using recycled materials. While these don’t eliminate waste, they do help provide uses for old packaging materials and prevent the need to collect more raw ingredients for continued manufacturing. Recycling those same products helps complete the cycle and reduces the need for new materials in the supply chain. You can also upcycle some packing materials, like cardboard and plastic, for use in crafts and organizational tools.

It depends on the dumpster rental company. Some may allow you to put box springs in their dumpsters, while others may not. Ask your rental company before putting a box spring into the dumpster.
