"We had an overgrown tree that was damaging our fence, along with several other trees that needed removal. I received the quote on Tuesday and they came on Wednesday and had the entire job completed before noon, including a 30 foot tree, large pine tree, I don't even know how many quakies, grinding down the stumps AND hauling everything off. Great communication, nice guys. We'll use them again for future projects."

"Sefa was very professional and efficient. He took out an old deck and hauled a bunch of junk for me. I was surprised how fast the job got done. I'm so glad I took a chance on this new business!"

"I have always maintained the trees in my yard but unfortunately this job required a professional. I received three quotes and TTR came in way below the others. Gavin and crew showed up on time and completed the job without issue. They cleaned up after cutting down two 25 year old Cottonwood trees and hauled everything away. I couldn't have hired a more professional crew. I highly recommend their services and will call on them again."

"They did a great job cutting the tree and made it look really nice. I'm not sure if he was just really busy or what but he struggled with getting to the job when he said he would... time management. For someone who is prompt, it was frustrating. But everything eventually got done and it looks great!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

No, you should never top maple trees. Topping injures the tree and leads to the rapid growth of a weak canopy, which can be hazardous to rooftops and utility lines. Removing the crown can also leave the interior bark vulnerable to sun damage, leading to insects and disease. A topped tree can also reduce property value and permanently damage the appearance of a tree.

Deciduous shade trees (the type of trees whose leaves fall off in autumn) need to be pruned in late winter—between February and March. That’s because it’s easier to find and remove sick or dead branches when no leaves are present. And wounds close and heal faster in colder temperatures so pruning them at this time also makes them less prone to infection.

Dutch elm disease can’t harm humans. In fact, according to Cal Fire, bark beetles aren’t even typically dangerous to trees unless that tree is already weakened. The problem comes when Dutch elm disease kills a tree. That tree is more at risk of falling and catching fire, which can pose a serious threat.

Costs depend on tree height, trunk diameter, removal complexity, and required equipment.

A tree can split because of high winds, a change in temperature, or from an infestation or tree disease. All of these factors can overlap, making a single cause difficult to pinpoint. While winter storms are some of the most common causes for a tree to split, it can also happen because of termites or rot.
