We have never had hardwood floors and we LOVE them. I want them in my whole house. Terry was quick to tell us how to care for the hardwood floors and brought our hardwood out a month early to 'season' the hardwood to the humidity in our home before laying the floors. Terry's estimate was not a penny above the final cost of the remodel, but they built several items not included on the original plans: He built a valance to match our cupboards, and shelves in a cabinet on the backside of our island so we wouldn't lose any storage space. He went with us to pick out our granite and tile and I am so impressed by the quality of the granite and the tile. Again Terry was very forthcoming at teaching us about the care of both the granite and tile. Terry's original estimate of the time they would need to complete our remodel was 6-8 weeks and they completed the kitchen and floors in less than six weeks. I would recommend Ivy League Builders, LLC and Mr. Terry Perkins highly to any of my family, friends, or acquaintances. Please view my before and after pictures. The contractor who did the work reinstalled our existing cabinets, but failed to properly hang them. One day a cabinet fell and I had to catch it mid-air before it hit my wife. Needless to say, we need someone to come out and fix this problem. Tracy Roberts has high Angie's List reviews, so we gave him a call. They came out right away and gave me a fair estimate. We had some outdoor concrete work as well, so Tracy gave me a fair quote on both projects. We ended up having him do both projects, found a time that worked for both, and his company completed the project. Note, that Tracy does have workers, so you may not get him doing the work. We were fine with that. The only negative was that I was given a 10-10:30am arrival time, but the workers didn't actually show up until 2:30pm. It took them about 3 hours to complete the project, but I was definitely annoyed about the delay. Outside of the day of time issue, Tracy's crew did good work and we would probably use them again."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/fl/quincy/tracy-roberts-handyman-service-llc-reviews-2266297.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"INTERNATIONAL KITCHENS","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"UT","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Scott G."},"reviewBody":"The poor quality and code issues with our kitchen are unbelievable. We've had granite tiles come loose and fall multiple times, the cabinets are poor quality and we've had to reinforce multiple cabinet drawers. However, the worst issues have been electrical. We recently replaced the double ovens and found that International Kitchens and their electrical sub punched a hole in the drywall (with, what looks like a fist) and pulled a 50Amp circuit to the oven (presumably from the range that was located on the other end of the kitchen). They left about 6 feet of exposed wire with a J-box on the end wrapped up on top of the oven! This is a clear code violation and fire hazard. The circuit wire is also not attached to a stud behind the drywall. They also ran wire behind the cabinets, outside the drywall (again - completely exposed and not in any conduit) to wire the trash compactor. The can lights were loosely wired in the attic above the kitchen with no blanks over plastic boxes. Rats got into the attic and chewed the wires. We had to have an electrician replace and repair several wires. Finally (at least what we've found so far) there was an exposed electrical box behind the ovens where a receptacle used to be located prior to the remodel. Over time (even since we've been living in the home), the upper cabinets have sagged down from the ceiling so that there is a small gap between the cabinet and ceiling where the caulk has pulled away. The basket strainer on the sink was not seated properly and leaked (probably for years as the previous owners didn't bother to take care of the house) . We fixed that as soon as we moved in as that was easy to spot. A window seemed to be moved as well during the remodel. When we replaced the siding outside the kitchen area, we found a large exposed portion of insulation with NO sheathing or paper! We are very lucky the siding did not fail in that area. I am VERY angry with the lack of quality and documentation (I don't see evidence of any permits or inspections). I'm just glad we have now found most, if not all the issues and have had them properly repaired. I would highly recommend against using International Kitchens! SO happy with this contractor. The work ended up exactly how I wanted it. I changed my shaker style cabinets to a more modern, sleek look and Colten made them even better than I thought. He was easy and professional to work with. Highly recommend!
Here's the summary of the problems: 1. I have damaged cabinets that they won't replace (damaged from their fabrication) 2. uneven counter tops they took much convincing for them to come repair. The counter is now even, but there are major gaps below because they fixed it the cheap way. 3....

5 Star Kitchen and Bath puts our customers wants and needs first, we do everything we can to provide you with a remodel that you want and deserve.
"I would like to preface this review with two things: 1. 5 star offers a discount on their work if you leave a good review, be weary of what you read on here. 2. We have had this company complete both a kitchen and a bath remodel. The issues I will bring up were consistent with both of these jobs. During both of our remodels, the biggest complaints I had were communication and quality. Two big components that a company should really pride themselves on if they cared about their customer base. Communication for our projects failed at almost every step of the way. The conversations had between us and the salesman were great, and then almost every single interaction that was not only had between us and the company but the company within themselves was comically poor. Some examples include: 1. Being told we would have a project manager come to our house prior to the project to check out our attic for structural questions (no one ever came before they started knocking down walls) 2. There were days workers would show up when we didn't know they were coming and not show up on days we were told they were supposed to be there. Not to mention the tile workers who had their truck parked outside our house from 8-5 but stayed in there late and left early to smoke. 3. Several unanswered/not returned calls and texts from the project managers. The only time the office reached out to tell us about something? When the bill was "due" even though our project wasn't complete yet. 4. Our salesman saying a project would take 3 weeks when in reality, it's been 3.5 months and there are still issues. 5. Anytime we asked the current workers what the plan was for the next day or really anything, they NEVER knew. They didn't know who was going to be working, they didn't know when, and they didn't know on what. 6. Several of the workers telling us point blank that their fellow workers screwed up and did things wrong. Good thing we caught it I guess? 7. Tile was about to be installed until I noticed it was not the right time, and the workers had no idea and they didn't know what tile they were actually supposed to put down or in what pattern. Then tile had to be ordered, delaying us even further. 8. The list goes on and on. It's as though no one in the company ever talks to each other, or their customer, and we're left trying to put the pieces together. Secondly, their quality of work is not worth what you pay, not even close. There has not been a single thing that they've done that we haven't had to ask them to fix or redo. This adds time to the project, financial strain on us as customers, and not to mention the stress of constantly acting as a project manager. We have had MAJOR things need to be redone (I'm talking walls needing to be taken apart and rebuilt, cabinet and ceiling painting, relocating outlets, and an ENTIRE SHOWER FLOOR), as well as other things (paint chipped walls, bad putty jobs, grout crumbling, paint splattered inside and outside the house and on and on) and all of it was because no one from their team cares enough to do it right the first time. The pictures I will include show *finished* products that they think are appropriate to leave as a job well done. Not only that, but just this last time when pointing out that the glass they had "special ordered" was actually measured wrong and therefore our shower door is crooked, I was told that my "OCD will just have to live with it." This company is not worth your time or effort. I would never recommend them to anyone."

Kitchen Cabinet Refacing questions, answered by experts
Properly maintained, resurfacing typically lasts 5-10 years. Factors like surface usage and exposure to chemicals affect longevity.
A kitchen remodel can be a major undertaking, depending on how much you change. If you’re changing the kitchen layout, you might be tempted to scrap everything and start fresh, but there are a few different ways to save money throughout the process.
Keep your existing cabinets and reface or repaint them
Consider choosing budget appliances and fixtures
DIY when possible, such as painting walls yourself
Choose prefabricated cabinets instead of custom cabinetry
Choose affordable flooring options where possible
Refaced cabinets should last for 10 to 20 years and possibly even longer. The process holds up better than simpler refinishing methods like painting or glazing, which is why it’s a popular, albeit costly, option. In fact, refaced cabinets last roughly as long as brand-new ones. The difference is that new cabinets can last up to 50 years if they are exceptionally high-quality. Proper maintenance, like regular cleaning and avoidance of harsh products and water damage, can increase the lifespan of your kitchen cabinets, no matter if they are new, refaced, or refinished.
Since there are many methods of repairing your cabinets, including refacing and refinishing, it can be tricky to know when to replace or fix your existing cabinets. Generally, it’s best to repair your existing cabinets when the cabinet boxes are in good condition. Additionally, this option is best when you’re being budget-friendly or remodeling.
Replacing your cabinets is best when you’re changing the layout of the room or when the cabinet boxes are in rough shape. It’s also best to replace your cabinets if you need more storage space, as this will remove the existing cabinets for new ones.
No, and that’s why adding kitchen cabinets to the ceiling is popular! Whether you match the color of your existing cabinets or not, you can still paint your cabinet boxes with them attached to the wall—making this project much less invasive.
