Uncompromising quality and integrity in all of your precious metals purchases and sales. Specializing in gold & silver bullion. Avoid gold and silver retailers selling you their inventory at high premiums! We pay top prices for jewelry, sterling, diamonds and watches! Fisher Precious Metals is a national gold and silver dealer. Listed as a national dealer with the United States Mint, Fisher Precious Metals is a trusted resource for gold and silver coins and bars. Established in 1995, the firm works with individuals on all issues related to buying and selling physical precious metals, storage, security, estate liquidation and long-term exit strategies. John Fisher, the President, is an ICTA Board Member and is approved by the State of Florida to teach Continuing Education courses on precious metals investing to CFP's, CPA's, attorneys and insurance professionals. In addition, John is a frequent guest on various financial radio broadcast programs. Fisher Precious Metals is an A+ rated Accredited Business with the Better Business Bureau.

"It went great! We found Fisher Precious Metals on Angie's List, and after googling them, we found they had very positive reviews across the web. Although it was a 45 minute drive from our home, we felt it might be worth it, and it was. We made an appointment with John via email, arrived at 11:00, and spent just over an hour in his office. He evaluated the sterling silver set we had to sell and gave us what we felt was a very fair price. He'd given us an estimate on the value of the gold coins via email, and although the price of gold had fluctuated since he'd provided the quote, the final price was very, very close to the initial quote. We were happy to learn that they will also buy jewelry, as I have a few pieces I haven't worn in a very long time. We were very pleased with the entire experience and will definitely return to their company when we have gold or silver to sell, and we're happy to recommend them to our friends. One thing to keep in mind is that sterling silver sets are basically worth the price of the silver itself. We knew that going in, so we were not disappointed and, in fact, the price we received was a little higher than we'd expected."

27 years of experience

Unsurpassed expertise. We offer on site consultation, as well as trial periods. Non-pressure customer centered environment. To the trade. Additional Email - [email protected]. Additional contact name - Mahmoudreza Adibhazari. Additional phone - (801) 484-6797.

"I left a review of how Adibs ruined my rugs by not testing before washing, heating to dry which turned them yellow and then brushing so hard they damaged the wool. I got a response from them which was factually false. I do not and have not had pets. So NO the rugs did not yellow do to pet stains. There was only one area on the smaller rug that had a slightly stained area from feet. The other rug had no stain or dark areas. So the response was again fabricated. I picked up the larger rug from Adibs and took the larger clearly damaged rug to a quality rug cleaner who felt Adibs had definitely ruined the rug and explained to me what was done. He felt Adibs should have returned my money and paid for the damage. I had had enough of the runaround and bs. DO NOT HAVE ADIBS clean your rugs."

What We Do Once your family has decided what will be kept, Family Affairs reorganizes the contents, pricing all items at fair market value, dividing out what will be sold, what can be donated, and what will be refuse. Valuables are stored in a secure display case. Our sales are aggressively advertised. We also have a list of private clientele that are notified when a sale is taking place. We understand the delicate nature of a liquidation. We will work closely with the executor and the family to make certain that all matters will be taken care of with the utmost professionalism. If it is not practical to run a sale, Family Affairs will make offers on items of interest and provide recommendations for other selling options for the rest of the items. What You Can Expect From a Family Affairs Estate Sale: You and Family Affairs Services LLC both sign a contract detailing: Setup and sale dates Commission details and sale procedures Sale Setup - typically 5-10 days Display items (on tables with table cloths) - perceived value is important! Clean/wash items (if necessary) Fill a "Family Box" (if necessary) of any personal items we come across that are not appropriate for sale (ie. Photos, documents, etc.) Price items Advertise the sale - SL Tribune, Private Email List, KSL, Craig's List, Facebook, Website You do not have to be present during setup Family & Friends Sale (if desired) If you have family and close friends that would like to purchase some of the estate items, we can hold a 2-hour private sale prior to the public sale. Public Sale: Typical 3-day sales are: 10am-3pm; Fri-sun or Thurs-Sat. We'd love to work out which sale schedule works best for you. You do not have to be present during the sale. We will act on your behalf in the sale of your items. Post Sale Although we pride ourselves on selling over 95% of the items in most estates, you will probably have a few items that do not sell. At this point you have four main options: You keep the unsold items to either sell yourself or distribute as you see fit. We box/pack up everything and deliver it to the charity of your choice - you get an itemized receipt including donation value. We sell everything (or most things) to a bulk buyer (antique, furniture or specialty dealer) and add the income to your sales total. Any combination of the above three options. The last thing out of your estate is our vacuum cleaner. We will leave the estate in a clean, tidy manner so that it is ready to sell (if that is your next step). Within 1 day of our last cleanup day (our last day in your home) we will return your key(s). Within 10 days of the last day of the public sale you will receive: A check in the amount of your total sales minus Family Affairs' commission. A donation receipt from the charity of your choice (if applicable). A summary of your sale including a spreadsheet of every invoice and sale totals. A copy of every invoice from your estate sale. Why Choose Family Affairs Services LLC? We promise we won't be doing multiple sales at the same time. You get our full attention for the duration of your sale as well as our full customer list! We treat your estate and your items as if they were our own. We act on your behalf during the sale and are looking out for your best interest. We've been in the estate sale, appraisal and antiques business over 30 years!

Antiques and Jewelry Appraisals questions, answered by experts

Installing a flagpole can improve your home’s curb appeal, so it will often have a modest positive impact on your property value. You’ll see a much larger bump in property value if you install a custom wooden flagpole than you would if you install a standard aluminum pole. Adding lighting to your flagpole will also have a positive impact on home value, as will trimming trees away from the new lawn addition.

Basement bedrooms can count toward your room count and the square footage of your home on an appraisal if they’re fully legal, which means they have proper ventilation and points of egress, as defined by your local building code. Simply partitioning off a space for a bedroom in an otherwise unfinished basement that isn’t a legal living space won’t affect your appraisal value.

Whether or not new windows increase property taxes depends on where you live and by how much your upgrade increases your home’s value. Smaller projects likely won’t result in increased property taxes, but it’s always a good idea to err on the side of caution and check. Contact your local county appraisal department for the most accurate information about property taxes in your area.

The condition and appearance of your yard can affect your home appraisal value. A well-maintained, attractive yard with curb appeal adds to a property’s value, while an overgrown, messy, poorly maintained yard can hurt your home’s appraisal. Even small cosmetic improvements to your yard, like adding mulch, trimming trees, and cleaning out plant beds, can help your appraisal value.

While parts of the appraisal are out of your control, there are some things you can do to potentially raise the home’s value. You can make necessary repairs and upgrades before the appraiser visits—an appraiser can only value what is currently part of the home, not its potential. You can also provide the appraiser with the cost of recent upgrades. The appraiser will likely increase the value of your home by about 50% or more of what you paid for those improvements.
