"The entire process went quite smoothly from the design evaluation to the installation. We were given a multitude of frame choices from which we picked two. A quote was provided at athat time. Once we ordered, the installation occurred within a week and took approximately an hour. The effect of the frames is dramatic, much more than I anticipated. At the outset I didn't know what to expect and after having gone through the experience would recommend Mirrorcle Frames unequivocally."

"I submitted an inquiry online, and Rain Tree got back to me the same day with a price estimate.  Meanwhile, I had called two other companies for quotes.  The first took 4 days to get back to me, and the bid did not seem to make sense.  The other one took 3 days to get back to me, and their bid was for a lot more than the other two.  Rain Tree's price was the lowest, and their team was, by far, the most responsive!
They came out twice to measure, to ensure they had every angle right.  And they got started right away on preparing the materials.  They told me it would take 10 days, and they took only a week.
The shower doors were installed today by two friendly, professional, and diligent workers, and I'm happy with the result.
I'm very happy with this experience and would recommend this company to anyone needed new shower doors.
The only "suggestion" I have is that they offer a few more types of door handles to choose from -- but I'm satisfied with the ones we selected, nonetheless.
Thank you, Rain Tree!

"They came - put up an non-opening replacement door - took my old door away - and when it came back looked like new! The leaded glass had a 'bracing bar' where the solder had broken - so, they rebuilt the leaded glass in the door (looks better than it did new)... Also, the hardware (dead bolt - latch/knob) had lost its finish due to the sun... - they also allowed me to pick out a new hardware set and put that on also... (extra charge of course... and the leaded glass repair was extra - I'm very, very pleased with the result! :-)"

"I contacted Floor Coverings And More back in October 2014 for a quote on my kitchen. Great communication since day one. Marcela (very knowledgeable) she help me on my kitchen disaster and turn it into my dream kitchen.

They have great crew workers. Sometimes crew workers were late but even coming late they get the job done.

The granite they were installing was  lighter than the one i pick, contacted Marcela about it and she immediately call her crew to put work on hold  and stop by the house right away to check. Next Morning I was getting the color i choose. That is the service i was expecting from Floor coverings and more.

I'm in love with my new backsplash, i wanted to use all glass but Marcela recommended to go with a light 4x4 travertine and a glass border. I'm so glad i did looks fantastic! The painters did an awesome job. Will definitely hire Floor Coverings And More again."

Glass Block questions, answered by experts

Their thickness depends on application, but most glass walls are typically 3/8 to 3/4 of an inch thick. Although it’s not as common, single panes of glass can also be 1 inch thick.

DIY is possible for small projects, but professional installation ensures proper sealing, structural integrity, and a precise finish.

Luckily, glass block windows need minimal maintenance. Other than regular cleaning, the only maintenance involved in having a glass block window is inspecting for cracks every year and applying sealer to the mortar joints if the blocks are set in masonry mortar. Glass block windows hold up well against wind and moisture better than traditional windows and are not prone to rot.

Glass block windows come in various patterns and styles that offer privacy and unique aesthetics. Frosted or textured glass diffuses light and enhances privacy. Wave-pattern glass blocks imitate ocean waves with flowing lines. Ice-glass blocks resemble cracked ice. Fluted glass blocks feature parallel vertical grooves, adding texture and depth. Clear glass blocks, similar to glass Coke bottles, offer transparency with some distortion and may have smooth surfaces or subtle textures, adding visual interest.

Heavy glass tends to be more expensive than thin glass because it is stronger and more durable. In most cases, ¼-inch-thick glass is ideal for mirrors, and ⅛-inch-thick glass is ideal for residential windows. Heavier glass isn’t always necessary, and can be more challenging to hang or install. Work with a local window installation pro for replacement or new construction windows.
