"I scheduled an appointment with Joey to give me an estimate for some landscaping work. He forgot about the appointment until I called him, resulting in him being 1 1/2 hours late. Following our meeting, he was supposed to provide me with a quote for the work we discussed, but I haven’t heard from him. I’ve since read reviews on Backyards Plus. He either is a 5 star, or a 1 or 2 star based on the reasons I’ve cited above. Not sure if he treats all potential customers this way, or maybe my project wasn’t enough $$$ for him. I was ready to have him do my landscaping project and take over my lawn service. Doesn’t seem to want the business."

It was evident through their salesman Tom that they had comprehensive experience to handle the project beginning with 3D renderings to submit for HOA approval along with suggestions to modify the original concept for cost control and the discussions of the materials for every surface. Perfection isn't achievable, but Martin clearly strove for it, and shared my focus on preventing water intrusion in the new structure. The result is a vastly improved outdoor space that I wish I had done years earlier."

"The first red flag is representing himself as Steve Perez on Angi’s list when in fact his name is Ziv. There’s the hard sell and false promises (finish a kitchen remodel in 5-6 weeks) when it took 4 months. Unprofessionalism is an understatement. He communicates through texting like a teenager and screams at the client when in fact errors are his fault or his sub-contractors. We provided appliance specs very early in the process and the electrician still made errors for which Ziv wanted us to pay for. The cabinets delivered were incomplete which he blamed on us. He demanded a final payment and threatened to put a lean on our house when the work was incomplete per the contract. Then Subs starting calling demanding payment which was resolved after we provided cashed checks to Sonart Construction. Don’t believe what I say. Read the BBB review complaints for a well-deserved F rating."
